Theme & Story

2,000 years ago in China, after the Han Dynasty, but before the Jin Dynasty, China was divided into three distinct kingdoms. These were named Wei, Shu and Wu. At the start of this era, as the Han Dynasty was falling, many significant battles took place. One particularly famous naval battle took place at the Red Cliffs (Chibi) on the southern banks of the Yangtze River, close to present day Wuhan. Thought to be the one of the largest naval battles of all time, its decisive outcome helped form the lines of the Three Kingdoms.

The game blends elements of this story with many other familiar Ancient Chinese imagery. The reels are set in front of a fiery temple scene. The reels are made of an ancient wooden structure, and contain symbols that include historical characters from the battle, an ancient scroll and the playing card letters J, Q, K and A.
