Introduction
Join Chef Pat O’Cake and see what colour buns he’s been making! A scratch card type of reveal (with your very own oven mitt, of course) and a range of different-coloured buns reveal the spin outcome up to a top payout of x 1000 your bet. The fewest moves you match those buns in can mean a huge difference to your payout, as the jackpot varies as the buns are revealed; this is counted down as the spin plays out.
Your gaming experience is controllable by your bet amount, but that’s one of the only adjustable features in this game. There is an auto play pattern facility within the game information section which allows players to predict outcome patterns for automatic play.
Reel designs are all bun related but colour co-ordinated to rank from small to large prizes, so purple buns are the lowest with red the highest jackpot outcome. These have to appear within three reveals of the current spin for the biggest win outcomes, so getting three red buns in three moves straight out of the oven mean a jackpot win.
Themes, Graphics & Soundtrack
Pat O’Cake is the star chef, and he’s making his colourful buns with equally colourful language! This slot is more of a scratch card than a classic reel game, but it has plenty of character and looks stunning.
The background is static, though, and could do with some movement. As there’s no option to put this on full screen mode, this game feels a little claustrophobic. The graphics are great, though, and it’s a visually stunning, character-filled game that makes fun of itself as the reels spin.
The sounds and music to this game are well thought through and can be enjoyed for longer gaming sessions without rushing to the mute button.
More interaction with Pat would’ve been great for this slot, as there are definitely a few laugh-out-loud moments this game creates for the player!

Overall Review
Pat O’Cake is hilarious and worth a play to see what he comes out and says (especially upon losing), but the game could’ve done with more of our jovial Irish chef. More quotes and phrases from him and maybe as you won would have made this slot even more amusing.
This game looks and feels amazing to play, but there’s no user control over how it is played, and that can make the player feel like the game is on auto mode with not much interaction needed.
If the buns were animated and interacted with Pat more, this game would be perfect. Its scratch card reveal element adds to the suspense of the game and the maximum payout is gigantic, so this makes up for any lack of flexibility to the slot.
