Casino Solitaire Overview
Solitaire is a card-sorting game that dates back to the 1800s and continues to be one of the most popular card games in the world. G Gaming has reinvented it as a casino table game where you can win prizes based on your progress.
It is the most popular and best-known version of solitaire or patience, as it is colloquially known. It is usually played with a single 52-card deck and generally takes around 10 minutes to play a game.
Graphics
Casino Solitaire's graphics are simple and clean, with user-friendly navigation. The card designs are distinct and easy to distinguish, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
The board is laid out in four different sections. These are:
- The tableau: seven piles of cards that increase in size from left to right. The first pile has a single card and the number goes up until there are seven cards in the final pile. On each stack, the top card is facing up.
- The stock: when playing online, the stock is normally found in the top left-hand corner of your screen and is all the cards that haven’t been dealt into the tableau.
- The talon: this sits beside the stock and contains three cards, with the top one facing up.
- The foundations: these are suit sets that start off empty and are filled as you play the game. The idea is to fill each foundation with each suit of cards, starting with the ace and ending with the king.
How to Play Casino Solitaire
Casino Solitaire is played with one 52-card pack of cards. The aim of the game is to separate the deck into the four different suits with the cards in ascending order of value, starting with the ace.
Here is how the game works:
- First, select your bet.
- Then, you can decide if you would like to place either of the sidebets:
- No Moves: Win 15x your bet if there is no initial move available after the deal
- Red or Black: 200x win when you start with all black or all red cards
- No Moves: Win 15x your bet if there is no initial move available after the deal
- Remember that the aim of the game is to transfer cards between piles until you can move them to the foundations, where they can take their place in their suit stack.
- Cards are moved around according to their value and only those facing up to show their value can be transferred. You don’t need to worry about their suit at this stage.
- Cards can only be moved onto cards that are one value below their own. This means you can move a six onto a seven or a queen onto a king, for example, but you can’t move a five onto a four or a jack onto a ten.
- Aces in this game are counted as one.
- Once you move a face-up card, the one below turns over to reveal its value.
- You can move whole units of cards from one position to another; for example, if you have created a sequence of face-up cards and the top of this pack is an eight, you could move the whole unit to sit on a nine.
- Aces are moved immediately to the foundations to begin their suit stack. You can add to this stack as the right ascending cards in the correct suits are revealed.
- If there are no cards that you can move in the tableau, you can make use of the talon. This is filled from the stock pile. These cards can be moved into the tableau or into the foundations. Just remember that once cards have been moved to the foundations, they cannot be moved back.
- If moving cards leaves you with spaces, these can be filled by a king and you can start creating another sequence in descending order.
