Indian Leaders takes place against a game background of the Red Fort, a historic building in Old Delhi. In 1947, when India gained independence, the Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, raised an Indian flag above the fort’s Lahori Gate, and each year the Indian flag is again raised to commemorate Indian independence day (15th August), making this an appropriate setting for the game.
