But it’s set against a purple background with some nice animations, and there’s a jazzy soundtrack to add to the game’s atmosphere. It’s not the most beautiful slot we’ve seen, but it’s certainly a very long way from being the worst.

How to Play Joker Jackpots

1. The five paylines in Joker Jackpots are fixed, so you only need to decide on your total stake. Tap on the coin icon to select your wager.
    
2. Press Spin to start your game.
    
3. Either tap on the arrow button above Spin, or hit the Settings menu on the left of the reels to access the game menu. 
    
4. The menu also gives you access to the game’s rules and paytable, and you can also adjust game and sound settings.

There’s no wild symbol in Joker Jackpot but the Joker’s hat scatter has the ability to trigger the game’s Hold and Respin feature. You’ll need to land a scatter on each of the three reels, although they don’t have to appear on a payline. This expands the reels to a 5x3 grid on which your Joker scatters are fixed in place.

Now you are granted three free Respins, during which you need to collect more Joker scatters.

Each spin that lands one or more Joker scatters resets the Respin counter to 3, with every new Joker scatter held in place for the remainder of the feature. This bonus game is all about the Jokers, so it’s irrelevant which other symbols land on the reels during the bonus round.

Overall Review

Joker Jackpots seems like a fairly straightforward slots game when you first start playing. But once you land the Hold and Respin feature, the grid expands and starts filling with Joker scatters to award big cash payouts.

It’s an unusual mechanic, but it’s one that we enjoyed very much. Our only real gripe with this game is that the graphics are a bit basic, but that wasn’t enough to spoil our gaming experience.
