Introduction to Little Red

This charming game is set in the woods, much as you would expect from the title, like the woods in the fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood. The graphics are excellent, the backdrop looks like a photograph of somewhere you’d visit on a summer’s day, which belies the danger within.

The reels themselves are set above a stream in the woods, and Little Red needs to cross the stream to get to Granny’s house. It’s almost three dimensional because when you spin the reels, there is almost another static reel at the bottom which is just water, which moves gently while the reels are static giving the impression on vertical slots against horizontal water.

The symbols are more CGI than human, but very good and detailed. Think Shrek rather than Dumbo. The soundtrack is what we consider to be typical fairy tale style music. Very engaging and in keeping with the theme of the game.

Our Verdict

We thought Little Red was a lovely game to play. We liked almost everything: the graphics, the soundtrack, and the different twists and turns as we progressed along the game. We could see why this game is so popular, it’s far more than just a slots game and we found the fact that there was a bit of a challenge even more exciting. .

We found we had to increase our stake to get anywhere close to crossing the brook, but that’s ok. We found the game instructions easy to understand and very comprehensive and there are a decent 25 pay lines.
