Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

Our fascination with zombies spans TV shows, movies, video games and now… slots. Even as you spin, in the background there are dozens of zombies pressing up against the wire fence, almost as if they could burst through the screen. If you manage to grab yourself a big win, the screen will show you bloodied handprints, barbed wire and ‘Big Win’ or ‘Ultra Win’ emblazoned on the screen, battered and covered in blood. Dragon Gaming doesn’t hold back with the graphics or soundtrack, and they really create suspense.

A minor downside with the graphics is that they don’t run a line through the combination when you win, and with quite a complex paytable it’s difficult to immediately see exactly how you won. Escape Infected City Game

This bonus game is triggered when three Expanding Bonus Symbols land on reels 1, 3 and 5. These are Runner Zombie, Policeman Zombie and Waitress Zombie. There are five levels, and on each level you select a door and either kill the zombie or the zombie kills you.

If you kill the zombie, a multiplier is awarded and you move to the next level. If the zombie kills you, you receive the most recent prize and the bonus round is over.

If you kill all five zombies, you will win a multiplier worth up to x1000.

Free Spins

Our Verdict

Overall this Zombie Invasion slot is fun to play, with a great theme and exciting music. The graphics fall short a little in places: it doesn’t display what combination you’ve hit with a line through the reel, so it can be difficult to see exactly where you’ve won. When Quick Spin and Autoplay are activated together, gameplay is a little too fast, and you can feel disconnected just watching. You barely get a chance to see your combinations before it’s moved to the next spin. The RTP is also on the low side compared to other similar slots. Another annoyance if you do use Auto Play is that it stops whenever you hit a big, ultra, or ultra big win and when you’ve finished bonus game. You have to click to bring the main screen back up and then the ‘+’ button to activate it again, slowing the pace of the game down considerably. That said, it’s a very enjoyable slot to play. The details such as the advancing zombies in the background are a nice touch, and the bonus Escape Infected City game is a little different to other bonus features.
