At Slots Temple, we always stay on top of the freshest slot releases so you'll be able to know exactly when the best new games are coming out. Here are all of the great upcoming online slots that will be released in August!
August 4th
Diablo Reels - ELK
Diablo Reels is the first of the new slots for August, and this quirky game becomes the 7th in Elk Studio’s “classic” series - games that are built around a 3X3 format. The game uses a 10-payline structure and has an RTP of 96.3%, so compared to some of Elk Studio’s older releases it does well on the RTP side of things. The game is packed with a fair amount of bonus action, and you’ll find dual reel sets, stacked wilds, multiplying wilds and a pretty unique bonus round where it’s possible to win more than 1,000X your stake. As with most of Elk’s games, Diablo Reels won’t be for everyone - purely due to the format - but it’s impeccably designed and offers some decent win-potential at the same time!
Ancient Warriors - Microgaming
Ancient Warriors is the first new game from Microgaming this month, and like virtually all of their releases over the past year it’s developed by one of their in-house studios, this time, Crazy Tooth Studios. The game is themed around - well, of course, ancient warriors - and comes with an RTP of 96%. The format is a 4-reel, 6-row build and there’s a total of 50 fixed paylines in play here. The Chinese theme works well, and Crazy Tooth Studios have pulled it off in impressive fashion. There’s also some pretty decent win-potential in the game, and you’ll find yourself able to win up to 1,807X your stake on every spin; not half bad for a 2020 Microgaming release!
Immortal Fruits - Nolimit City
Immortal Fruits is the first slot from Nolimit City to offer jackpots - and while the game isn’t as complex as some of their most recent releases, it offers a pretty enjoyable overall experience; we expect it to prove just as popular as many of their most recent releases. Trigger the xWheel Bonus Wheel feature to win one of three jackpots - the Rapid, Midi and Mega - and you can also choose to try and double your wins using the 50/50 gamble feature. Immortal Fruits is released site-wide on the 4th August and will be available at all online casinos that feature Nolimit City’s games.
August 5th
Yucatan's Mystery - Red Tiger
We’ve seen quite a few Mayan-themed games over the past decade or so, with Gonzo’s Quest from NetEnt perhaps one of the most successful. Red Tiger Gaming are now entering the arena for themselves with the release of Yucatan’s Mystery, a 5-reel slot with an RTP of 95.75%. Like all their games, the slot is shipped with a variety of RTP settings so always make sure you’re playing at an online casino that has the best RTP! With a maximum win of up to 4,284X your stake on every spin Yucatan’s Mystery lends itself well to those looking for big hits, and great-looking graphics accompany every spin too, so it’s a game well-worth checking out!
Irish Pot Luck - NetEnt
Irish Pot Luck is the first new release from NetEnt in August, and this 5-reel, 3-row slot is yet another Irish-inspired slot; nothing too groundbreaking but a game that should suit players looking for mid-variance action. There’s quite a lot going on in the slot too, and you’ll find yourself faced with the Pot Luck feature, a Free Spins bonus and a Jackpot Wheel bonus. The game is set for release on the 5th August and will be available at all NetEnt casinos; it’s unlikely to prove a major hit for the software provider but it’s nice to see they’re churning out new titles instead of simply re-hashing their old games!
Aztec Gems Deluxe - Pragmatic Play
Adding to their line of “deluxe” titles, Pragmatic Play has just announced the release of Aztec Gems Deluxe - a new video slot scheduled for release on the 5th August 2020. The game’s built around a rather old-school 3X3 layout, and it’s a bit of a modern twist on a retro-style game. You’ll find a number of fixed jackpots on offer (all of which are won through the base-game re-spin feature) and this can lead you to bonus prizes, random multipliers and more - all picked through a Wheel of Fortune-like bonus round.
La Fiesta - Relax
La Fiesta is Relax Gaming’s first new release in a while and this Spanish-themed game comes with a fixed RTP of 96.19%. From the moment you load up the game you’ll be transported to the heartland of Spain, and despite looking somewhat basic, the game actually packs quite a punch! The majority of the win-potential is found within the main free-spins bonus round which is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Be warned; the free-spins bonus is highly volatile, so while it is possible to hit monster wins they’re few and far between - so it’s not a game for those wanting plenty of small, frequent wins!
August 6th
Blinged - Play n GO
As one of the world’s leading game developers, Play’n Go’s new releases always have a certain air of anticipation surrounding them - and Blinged is no exception. The game, like most of their titles, offers a maximum win of 5,000X per spin, and a unique, volatile math model offers something quite a bit different from the slot’s predecessor, Pimped - one of the software provider’s most successful releases. You’ll find a ton of action in Blinged including Win Spins, and there’s also re-spin and progressive win multipliers, helping you get closer to hitting that maximum win-potential!
August 9th
Disco Danny - NetEnt
Disco Danny is NetEnt’s second August release, and it’s yet another 3X3 slot, showing that game developers are looking to mix things up from the Megaways-esque games we’ve seen flood the iGaming market over the past couple of years. This dancing-inspired slot is flash, bright and upbeat - and there’s two bonuses inside, including a Golden Multiplier feature and a Free Spins bonus. The game’s set for release on the 9th August 2020 and will be immediately available at all online casinos offering NetEnt’s portfolio. Whether Disco Danny will prove a hit or not remains to be seen, but at least NetEnt are toying around with some different themes and concepts!
August 11th
Deal or No Deal Lightning Spins - Blueprint
Blueprint Gaming are renowned for their Deal or No Deal video slots - and on the 11th August we’ll be presented with yet another; Deal or No Deal Lightning Spins. This medium-variance slot is, of course, based around the popular TV show of the same name, and it’s built around a 5-reel, 3-row format. There’s 20 fixed paylines in play here, and you’ll want to trigger the Lightning Spins jackpot bonus, during which you’ll find yourself able to win one of four different jackpot prizes. It may not be the most creative release from Blueprint Gaming, but it’s nice to see them taking a break from their Megaways releases - and we look forward to giving it a play for ourselves once it’s released!
Dream Machine - Golden Rock
Golden Rock Studios are one of the many in-house studios Microgaming use to develop new video slots. While they’re not particularly well-known, don’t let that put you off playing their games. - Dream Machine is the developer’s first release this month, a 5-reel, 3-row slot with a whopping 7 different bonus rounds! It’s ideal for those who are looking for regular action, and while you probably won’t be walking away with 1,000X+ hits, 100X-200X wins are definitely possible - it actually reminds us somewhat of Evolution Gaming’s “Crazy Time” in that the features are very common - and can, sometimes, pay very well!
Goldaur Guardians - Microgaming
Yet another slot released from Microgaming, Goldaur Guardians is developed by another of their small in-house studios, Alchemy Gaming. The slot is set for release on the 11th August and will be made available through Microgaming’s Quickfire platform. The slot has an RTP of 95% which is a little on the low side of things, but we feel an exception can be made here as the game’s graphics are “on point”. A couple of pretty decent bonuses ensure you don’t need to wait too long in order to begin seeing the action for yourself, and the game’s actually really well designed; poor visual quality has been one of the main criticisms of Microgaming’s smaller game studios.
August 12th
Disco Monkey - NetEnt
Another “disco” release from NetEnt this month, Disco Monkey is a new video slot that’s set for release on the 12th August 2020. The game comes with an RTP of 96.04% and is playable on both mobile and desktop devices. It’s yet another game that lends itself well to those wanting an upbeat, vibe-packed slotting experience, and despite having just 5 paylines the game offers up to 500X your stake on every spin - so it’s an ideal game for those wanting something a little less volatile than many of the new releases we’re seeing game developers putting out today. It reminds us somewhat of Joker Pro - although the max win is 500X as opposed to 1,000X.
August 13th
Bombuster - Red Tiger
Cluster Pays slots have proven themselves to be very popular over the last few years, and we’ve seen Red Tiger Gaming release a number of games using this unique mechanic. Bombuster is their latest to utilize it, and this unique-themed slot is built around a 7X7 format. The game’s RTP is set at 95.74% although it’s very likely going to be available in a range of RTP settings for operators to choose from. The game offers a maximum win of 2,000X your stake on every spin too, so it’s ideal for those in search of that “big win potential” that we’re used to seeing in so many of today’s action-packed video slots.
Dog House Megaways - Pragmatic Play
The Dog House quickly became one of Pragmatic Play’s most popular releases when it hit the iGaming market last year, and thanks to their newly-acquired Megaways license from Big Time Gaming, it’s now available in a Megaways format! The game is fairly similar to the original - you can still look forward to sticky wild multipliers during the bonus round - but it’s built around a 6-reel format with up to 117,649-ways-to-win active on every spin so there’s significantly more win-potential than the original. Non-UK players can also purchase direct entry to the bonus round too, thanks to the “Feature Buy” mechanism.
Retro Galaxy - Microgaming
Retro Galaxy is another August slot release from Microgaming, although as you can probably expect - it’s actually developed by one of the many small studios they work with. This time, it’s Half Pixel Studios. The game offers some significant win-potential, but unfortunately gameplay is boring and the graphics are relatively unimpressive. We’d imagine it’s very unlikely the game builds any real momentum in the online gambling world, and it looks set to become yet another rushed, half-hearted release from the once-dominating iGaming software provider.
Saxon - Play n GO
Saxon is another branded video slot from Play’n Go, themed - of course - around the semi-successful rock band of the same name. The game comes with an RTP of 96.24% and it’s built around a 5-reel, 3-row format with a total of 10 fixed paylines. As you can imagine, the band’s music plays in the background as you spin, and there’s a few features to look out for including stacked wilds, progressive multipliers and a free-spins bonus. Saxon is scheduled for release on the 13th August and will be available at all Play’n Go online casinos.
August 15th
Fortunium Gold Mega Moolah - Stormcraft
Mega Moolah is one of the most successful video slots in history - and it’s also responsible for paying out the highest jackpots too, with some winners finding their way into the Guinness Book of World Records from the wins they’ve landed on the slot! Microgaming have teamed up with Stormcraft to release a remake of the game, and this new slot has a Steampunnk vibe - offering something quite different from the original. Little else is known about the game as of yet, but we’ll update this page as soon as we find out more about Fortunium Gold Mega Moolah!
August 18th
Wolf Howl - Microgaming
Wolf Howl is a video slot from Just For The Win/Microgaming that’s set to be released on Microgaming’s Quickfire platform on the 18th August 2020. The slot is highly volatile, suiting those who are looking for rare, big hits, and the RTP of 96.15% ensures that you can expect to get a good amount of play time. Wolf Howl is all about the main free-spins bonus round (triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view) and it’s during this bonus that you’ll find most of the slot’s win-potential. Landing it may prove tough - but it could be well-worth the wait, as there’s some mega rewards in store for lucky players!
August 19th
Gordon Ramsay Hells Kitchen - NetEnt
Gordon Ramsay is one of the world’s most well-known TV personalities, known for a number of hit cooking TV shows - including Hell's Kitchen. NetEnt have now teamed up with Ramsay to release a slot around his Hell's Kitchen series - and while little is known about the slot (as of yet) if it’s anything like the chef in real life we think it’s safe to assume we can expect plenty of R-rated language! Once we know more about the game we’ll update this page accordingly - and we’ll also put together a comprehensive Gordon Ramsay Hells Kitchen slot review so you can find out more about the game
Beat the Beast Quetzalcoatl’s Trial - Thunderkick
Beat the Beast Quetzalcoatl’s Trial is another of Thunderkick’s “Beat the Beast” slots, and if you struggled to pronounce the game’s name - well, you’re not alone! This 5-reel, 3-row video slot comes with 9 paylines so you can expect it to be just as volatile as their past releases. Beat the Beast Quetzalcoatl’s Trial comes with a fixed RTP of 96.16%, and is scheduled for general release on the 19th August, 2020. We’ll have a full, comprehensive review up once the game’s launched, so stay tuned to learn more!
August 20th
Astro Rocks - Microgaming
Astro Rocks is a relatively unique new video slot from Microgaming, themed around - what the developer are calling - “cute” aliens. For a Microgaming release, Astro Rocks actually looks pretty good, and while little is yet known about the game we do know that there’s a fairly lucrative free-spins bonus on offer, which is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. The game’s set for release on the 20th August and will be available through Microgaming’s Quickfire platform so it’ll be made available at the vast majority of online casinos. Stay tuned for more info!
Crystal Mirror - Red Tiger
Red Tiger Gaming don’t churn out video slots as often as some developers - but there’s good reason for this; their slots are almost always impeccably designed, and Crystal Mirror - their latest release - is no exception. This 6-reel slot comes with 20 fixed paylines and carries an RTP of 95.77%. During gameplay you’ll want to trigger the “Free Games” bonus, during which it’s possible to land up to 6 wild reels - and this is where most of the win-potential is found! Crystal Mirror will be released at all Red Tiger casinos on the 20th August 2020.
Jungle Gorilla - Play n GO
Jungle Gorilla is the second release from Play’n Go this month, and as with almost all the developer’s slots, there’s up to 5,000X your stake on offer! Jungle Gorilla comes with an RTP of 95.57% and is defined by the software provider as being medium volatility. Of course, it’s set deep within the jungle, and you’ll want to keep a close eye on the Gorilla - the game’s highest-paying symbol - as he can award you with some mega payouts! Once we know more about Jungle Gorilla we’ll put up a dedicated review of the game so you can learn all about it!
Break Away Wilds - Microgaming
Break Away Wilds is a brand-new video slot from Microgaming, and it’s one of many “Break Away” games in their portfolio. During the base-game, you’ll notice that the reels are cascading, meaning that any symbols involved with a win “drop” off the screen, with new ones coming in to fill their place. This is the “break away” format that many players have come to love - and the free-spins bonus, like most of the original games, contains a progressive win multiplier, so it’s where most of the game’s win-potential can be found!
Diamond Vortex - Play n GO
It’s rare that we see a game developer release two brand new slots on the same day but that’s what Play’n Go has opted to do on the 20th August! Diamond Vortex is their latest release, and this is yet another of their hugely successful “Cluster Pays” games, set on a 7X7 grid. The game also boasts an RTP of 96.2% which is well above what we’ve come to expect from the game developer, and to form a win you simply need to match 6 or more symbols together on one spin. The game’s unique layout also makes it a bit different from the software provider’s other cluster games like Reactoonz and Wild Frames, and we look forward to trying it ourselves once it’s released!
August 22nd
Deadmau5 - Microgaming
Deadmau5 is one of Microgaming's most anticipated slots in history with the developer first announcing the game way back at the beginning of 2020. It’s based - of course - all around the world-renowned DJ of the same name, and you’ll find some of his most iconic tracks - like ‘I Remember’ - playing as you spin the reels. The game has been built in partnership with Eurostar Studios and carries an RTP of 96.08%. As of now, little more is known about the game but once it’s released we’ll be putting up a full review so you can learn more!
August 24th
Hotline 2 - NetEnt
Hotline was released a few years ago, and while it never became a “signature” NetEnt slot it did pretty well - and now the Swedish game developer is back with a sequel; Hotline 2. This new slot uses a 243-ways-to-win format and is built around a 5-reel, 3-row format. You can spin the reels from as little as 0.30 credits per spin, and the Miami Vice-inspired slot comes with three different bonuses. Of course, like the original, it’s the main free-spins feature - where wilds are sticky - that offers the most potential, and we expect the game to prove pretty popular with players!
Jackpot Express - Yggdrasil
Yggdrasil’s first release of August 2020 is Jackpot Express - a game that can be spun from as little as 0.20 credits per spin and as much as 100! It’s a game that - in the software provider’s own words - “oozes old-school charm and class”, combining it with the technology of 2020. The game’s set on an old riverboat casino - presumably floating down the Mississippi river - and with an RTP of 96.2% you can expect some pretty decent play-time from the game. It’s set for release on the 24th August and once released we’ll have a full review up for you to check out!
August 25th
Beers on Reels - Kalamba
Beers on Reels is a brand-new video slot from Kalamba that’s scheduled for release on the 25th August 2020. The game’s set entirely around beer - so if you’re not a big drinker, this might not be the game for you! Modern graphics offer up a decent-looking interface, and like most of the software provider’s titles there’s some good win-potential on offer with upwards of 2,000X your stake available to be won on every spin. We don’t know too much more about Beers on Reels right now, but once Kalamba releases more details we’ll update this page accordingly!
3 Tiny Gods - Microgaming
3 Tiny Gods is a brand-new video slot from Microgaming - although it’s actually developed by a semi-successful studio called Foxium. The slot comes with a healthy RTP of 96.4%, and follows the life of three different Gods - all, funnily enough, tiny! The game offers a couple of different bonus features, and thanks to the low-to-medium variance nature of the game you can expect to see these bonuses triggering quite frequently, so you shouldn’t have to wait around for long in order to begin enjoying the action for yourself!
August 26th
Kingdoms Rise Shadow Queen - Playtech
We don’t see new releases from Playtech that often, and Kingdoms Rise: Shadow Queen is their first release this month. The game has been developed in partnership with Ash Gaming - a subsidiary company of Playtech - and it’s loaded with exciting bonuses, all of which give you the chance to win more than 1,000X your stake on every spin! Great-looking graphics, a healthy RTP and regular features ensure the game can be enjoyed by all types of player, and it’s set to be released at all Playtech casinos on the 26th August 2020.
The Demon Code - NextGen
The Demon Code is the first August release from NextGen Gaming this month, and it’s also one of the software provider’s only “Cluster Pays” slots - a mechanic we’ve seen used successfully by other game developers like NetEnt and Red Tiger Gaming. The slot is built around a 6-reel format, and with the minimum spin set at just 0.10 credits it lends itself well to players on a smaller budget wanting to “low roll”. It’s set in the underworld and comes with an RTP of 96.12%, so you can expect plenty of play-time from The Demon Code!
6 Wild Sharks - 4ThePlayer
4ThePlayer are still a very new iGaming slots developer but their early games have seen decent success - and their most recent release is 6 Wild Sharks, expected to hit online casinos on the 26th August 2020. The game is set underwater and is built around a 4-row, 6-reel format. It also utilises a 4096-ways-to-win format, ensuring you don’t need to worry about paylines! The game will be pushed out through Relax Gaming’s content platform, and once it’s released we’ll have a full review up so you can find out all about the game!
August 27th
Age of the Gods King of the Underworld - Playtech
Just a few days after their last release Playtech are back with another new August slot - and this time it’s an addition to their hugely-successful “Age of the Gods” franchise. Age of the Gods King of the Underworld has been developed by the game developer’s bingo studio, and it offers a wide variety of features and bonuses alongside stacked wilds and scatter symbols. It’s built around a 5-reel, 3-row format and has 20 fixed paylines and will be released site-wide on the 27th August.
Jolly Roger 2 - Play n GO
Jolly Roger is one of Play’n Go’s older slots, and they’ve decided to release a sequel, aptly named Jolly Roger 2. Like the original, the new game carries a strong pirate theme and is built around a 5-reel, 3-row format. It’s described by the developer as being a medium-variance slot - so you can expect semi-frequent wins - and like virtually all the game developer’s slots there’s up to 5,000X your stake available to be won on every spin, so it’s a game well-worth checking out if you’re looking for those big hits!
Tiki Wins - Booming Games
Booming Games are a relatively small game developer - but the quality of their games is generally good, and Tiki Wins - their first release this month - is no exception. The slot is developed around a 5-reel, 3-row format and the RTP is fixed at 96%: unlike some game developers, Booming Games don’t offer their games with multiple RTP settings so you don’t need to worry about which version you’re playing! The game contains a few features, the most lucrative of which is the multiplying wilds which multiply against one another, helping you (hopefully) form big wins!
August 28th
African Legends - Slingshot
Slingshot Studios are a small game developer, known primarily for their games which are then released under Microgaming’s branding. African Legends is their latest offering, and, as expected, it will be distributed to online casinos via Microgaming’s Quickfire platform. The slot is set deep in the African bush, and if you’re lucky enough to land 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view you’ll trigger a (potentially) lucrative free-spins bonus with extra wilds and more high-paying symbols added to the reels. African Legends is scheduled for release on the 28th August and is the last notable game to hit the iGaming industry this month!
