Since the beginning of 2014, we’ve heard a number of slots designers announce their plans to release new games based on popular science fiction brands.

Since branded slots are all the rage now, we are very excited about these releases, especially since they will be based on some of our favourite movies and TV shows.

Jurassic Park

Microgaming will be creating new online slots based on the Jurassic Park movie series. There will be one game for each movie, so we can look forward to playing at least three new Jurassic Park-themed slots. The company has not released many details, but we do know that the game will feature a bonus game which analyses dinosaur DNA!

Terminator 2

Terminator 2 is one of the most popular science-fiction movies of all time, winning prestigious film awards and becoming a cult classic.

Microgaming has also secured the rights to creating this game, which will expand from a 243-ways-to-win game to a 1024-ways-to-win game, featuring great winning potential and unique bonus games.

Game of Thrones

Okay, it’s not exactly science fiction, but it is set in an alternate universe and we are super excited about the game – so, we had to include it in our list. Microgaming has recently announced that it will be releasing a new online slots game based on the Game of Thrones franchise.

Few details have been revealed, but we do know that Microgaming is going to put a great deal of effort into impressing the fans of series.

Aliens

Net Entertainment recently premiered its upcoming release, Aliens. This branded Sci-Fi slots game is based on the classic sci-fi movie of the same name – featuring the iconic Alien birth scene with Sigourney Weaver. The game will feature three different modes of play, which offer players different bonuses and gaming features.

Net Entertainment has also announced that it will be the first online slots game to use real-time 3D graphics. We’re not entirely sure that that means yet, but it sounds exciting! We know that the company is more than capable of producing branded slots that stay faithful to the original content while creating a great experience for slots players.
