Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) was one of the biggest releases of the year. Released in September, the game is still hugely popular due to its online feature that allows remote players to interact in real time.

Now, the developer plans on releasing new downloadable content (DLC), which could see the addition of a casino.

A Little Info About Grand Theft Auto V

If you’re not a core gamer, it is entirely likely that you haven’t heard much about this game. It was one of the biggest releases of 2013 and has received rave reviews from players and critics. GTA V features unique multi-player gameplay, in which one player can control three characters in the same mission.

There is also online gameplay, which allows players to go on missions with other remote players. As is the case with most Grand Theft Auto games, the fifth installment involves the player in many criminal activities.

While these commonly include assassinations and drug deals, GTA V brings something new to the table: heists. For the first time ever in this series, players are able to conduct complex robberies to earn cash.

Possible Casino

Audio files were recently leaked, hinting at the possibility that the new DLC will allow players to access a casino in the game. In the existing game, there is a casino but players cannot go inside. The DLC could possibly allow players inside, opening up plenty of new gameplay opportunities.

Many players believe that there is truth to the rumour, believing that there wouldn’t be a big casino in the game if the developers didn’t plan on doing anything with it.

What Would This Add to the Game?

Having a casino in GTA V could open up plenty of opportunities for gamers.

Firstly, players may be able to actually wager on casino game. This feature was available in Fallout: New Vegas, and it could be done in Grand Theft Auto as well. These types of side-games are always popular among core gamers, so it would be a wise decision.

Another possibility is the introduction of casino heists. In the game, players rob jewellery stores, banks and the FIB (GTA’s fictional spin on the FBI).

If a casino is added to the game in DLC, we could see players being able to rob the property. It is likely that it would be added to the online gameplay, allowing players to remotely collaborate to cash in on a big score.
