In the online slots market, it is not uncommon for an operator to release several games with very similar formats under different names. You will notice that some of your favourite titles are pretty much exactly the same aside from their graphics and few gameplay features.

Microgaming has adopted this approach for its latest games – but instead of disguising them as completely different titles, Microgaming has openly made them part of the same series.

So Much Sushi

So Much Sushi features different types of sushi as its main symbols. Sashimi, rolls, wasabi, and soy sauce are all featured on the reels of this game.

So Much Candy

So Much Candy features life savers, peppermints, gum balls and jawbreakers as its symbols.

So Many Monsters

In this version, the main symbols are – you guessed it – monsters! A cast of creepy but cute characters offer up the prizes on this game.

Split Symbols

The graphics is where the diversity in this series ends, as all of the bonus features are exactly the same. In each game, there are Split Symbols, which cram more than one symbol into a single space on the reels. This feature is triggered when the main symbols are involved in a win. Then, more symbols will appear in the spaces to grant players additional prizes.

The great thing about this feature is that players can trigger wins that are more than 5-of-a-kind. In fact, it is possible to trigger a 25-of-a-kind win! This makes for huge prizes worth up over 30 000 credits.

Free Spins

The free spins round is the same across all three games, as well. It is triggered when the scatter symbol appears three, four or five times on the reels. The player can receive between 8 and 16 free spins.

The more free spins they earn, the lower the potential grand prize – but the greater their chances of winning.

Our Verdict

The ‘So Much’ series from Microgaming is the equivalent of buying the same dress in several different colours. If you enjoy the format, why not play it with three different themes? Even though the gameplay is exactly the same across the entire series of Microgaming slots, it is so engaging that we don’t mind playing it three times over. An off-screen bonus would have been a nice addition, but the So Much series is still great without it.
