Thunder Kick is one of the most interesting new gaming operators in the online slots market. The company only really appeared on our radar last month, but it has made a big impression on us.

We have been impressed with just about every name game to come from Thunder Kick recently, so we’ve decided to make a list of our absolute favourites.

Sunny Scoops

Sunny Scoops has a delicious ice cream theme. Instead of having a set of traditional reels with ice cream-themed symbols, the game is actually just 3 ice cream cones with 3 scoops on them. The number of like flavours that appear on each cone determine the player’s prize and the order in which they appear. There are 14 potential winning combinations.

When three like flavours appear on the same cone, then the player triggers the bonus wheel which provides them with the chance to win a multiplier worth up to 7x or entry into the bonus round. During the bonus game, every spin grants the player an additional multiplier and one respin. The multiplier metre continues to rise as the player continues to hit winning combinations.

Fruit Warp

Fruit Warp reinvents the term ‘fruit machine’ with a unique format that doesn’t really seem to make sense at first glance. Several pieces of 3D fruit appear on the screen, and winning combinations are based on how many like fruits appear at once. It takes some getting used to, but once you get into it, it will be difficult to look at traditional slots the same way again.

Birds on a Wire

Birds on a Wire is the most traditional Thunder Kick slots game on our list, but it is still quite out there. It is the only game on our list that features reels in the traditional sense of the term, as each ‘reel’ is a wire with five birds on it. When the player hits a winning combination, the birds are electrocuted and they disappear.

New birds fly into their places and if they create a new winning combination, the process repeats and the prize multiplier increases. We are impressed with how much thought has been put into the games design. When three boxed birds appear on the reels, one throws the box away to reveal that it is actually a cat.

The rest of the birds flee to another set of wires where the free spins take place. It’s such an adorable way to grant a bonus, and we really appreciate Thunder Kick’s design.
