Sequels are becoming hugely popular in the online casino world, but they make it more difficult to decide which game you would rather play. If you only have time to play one game or would rather focus your budget on one particular title, then we’re here to help. Here is a comparison of the features in South Park slots and South Park: Reel Chaos slots to help you decide which game is better.

Graphics

When it comes to graphics, both games are evenly matched. They were released less than a year apart from each other, so the aesthetic quality is similar. Both games do a great of bringing the authentic South Park art style to the reels of online slots games.

Verdict: a tie

Base Game

In South Park online slots, there are several base game bonus features that help to boost winning potential. The Mr Hankey Bonus, Terrance & Phillip Bonus and Beefcake bonus are the three base game features, and they add extra wilds to the reels to boost winning potential. While they all feature different characters, they all do the same thing – so, there isn’t very much variety.

In Reel Chaos, most of the bonus features affect the base game. Mysterion triggers a prize wheel bonus that adds a multiplier to any prizes that you obtain while Toolshed provides respins and multipliers. The Coon triggers stacked wilds while the Human Kite adds sticky wilds to the reels. Each bonus feature is very different, and really keeps you wanting to spin the reels.

Verdict: Reel Chaos wins

Offscreen Bonuses

In South Park, each of the main characters has his own off-screen bonus feature. Kyle’s Bonus is a game of Kick the Baby which triggers multipliers while Kenny must cross the street without dying in order to win cash prizes. Cartman hunts hippies for bonus prizes while Stan triggers bonus spins with sticky wilds.

There is a wide range of off-screen bonuses to enjoy, each offering up their own unique gameplay and prizes. In Reel Chaos, there is only one bonus feature: the Mint Berry Crunch Bonus. In this round, Mint Berry Crunch battles various minions of Professor Chaos. Each victory results in an additional bonus prize.

While this is a very unique and engaging bonus, it is the only one available, and there is definitely room for more.

Verdict: South Park wins

Volatility

Both games actually offered up plenty of wins over the course of 50 spins. In Reel Chaos, we triggered the Mint Berry Crunch bonus twice, along with a number of base screen bonuses. By the end of our session, we had accrued an additional $25 but were up by $1000 at one point.

In the original South Park, we triggered the Cartman Bonus and got very lucky throughout this bonus game. By the end of this session, we had earned a total of $5000. While you’re not always guaranteed a win this big, it was certainly a selling point for us.

Verdict: South Park wins
