We’re in a mysterious sci-fi reimagining of the underwater world of Atlantis in this otherwise fairly typical slots game from KA Gaming. Using a traditional five-reel and three-row grid, the 243 paylines offer plenty of chances, but our demo play still found this to be a high-variance slots title. Atlantide Theme

The story of the underwater city of Atlantis is well known, having inspired imaginative minds throughout history. Here it feels like James Cameron has got involved to create a sci-fi world from this theme with the colour blue being the only real link. The top winning symbols feature characters who evoke some kind of storyline, while magic stones and books give fantasy undertones. 

Graphics

The illustrations are high quality in this choice of slots, looking like some good portfolio work for a developing artist with their eye on more fantasy-based artwork. It makes for some fun winning symbols to look out for.

Atlantide Bonuses 

Despite a very simple base game, there are some interesting variations in the Atlantide bonus features that will keep this game interesting.

Wilds

In the base game, these substitute for all paying symbols except the scatter symbol to help you form winning combinations. They also appear fully stacked on reel 3 at the end of the free spins bonus.

Free Spins

Land three of the scatter symbol, which only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, to win three free spins. These are a bit unusual in that you get three “chances”, with the number of spins resetting to three every time you score a win. 

Multiplier Levels

During the free spins bonus, you start at a multiplier of x2 which increases every time you score a win to go up the levels up to a maximum of x50.

We enjoyed the theme during our Atlantide slot review, imagining what storyline could be created from the elusive characters. We just wish there was a bit more the base game, as the free spins bonus is very rare.
