Also moved by their fidelity, the Emperor of Heaven decides to allow the lovers to meet on the bridge once a year, on the 7th day of the 7th month.

The background of Double Sevenths Festival recalls the mountainous background of the legend of Niulang and Zhinü. Coloured stars fall across the screen, and magpies and cows also appear.
