Pros & Cons
Fate of Thrones has a number of pros, including being dedicated to its fantasy theme, big prizes for a medium-volatility slots game and a dramatic soundtrack. On the other hand, it has a limited range of bets and only one bonus mode.
Fate of Thrones by Funfair Games online slots is a five-reel, 20-row slots game. If you like fantasy TV shows, you’ll get the concept behind this Game of Thrones online slot game. Enjoy the ice and fire themed graphics, the many animations and the Castle Siege bonus round, and useful features like a transaction history and a demonstration of how and why the game is fair.
Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack
Fate of Thrones is a fantasy themed slots game, taking its inspiration from hit fantasy series such as Game of Thrones.
Amongst the game’s detailed and colourful graphics you’ll find magic, ice, fire, wizards, witches and warrior women. And of course no fantasy game would be complete without some fire-breathing dragons, which in Fate of Thrones are the wild symbol, used to replace most other symbols on the screen. In the background is a snow-covered landscape (winter is coming!) and a red keep, just waiting for you to besiege it in the Castle Siege bonus mode. Even the game guide keeps to the theme as you turn the pages of an ancient tome to learn how to play.
While the game is idle, the only background sound is the howling of wind and the crowing of ravens, but once you spin the soundscape is interrupted by clashing steel and ominous music for a very dramatic effect.
RTP & Volatility
The return to player is 96.55% over the long term. Fate of Thrones is a low- to medium-volatility slots game, so you should expect wins that are frequent but on the smaller side.
How to Play Fate of Thrones
Playing Game of Thrones is technically just pushing a button, but if you know your way around the controls you’ll have a better idea what you’re doing.
1. Use the cog icon in the bottom left of the screen to turn music and FX on or off or to set the quick play mode.
2. Use the question mark symbol to pull up game information, where you can view the game’s twenty winning lines, look at the RTP and check the payouts for each symbol.
3. Turn on autoplay, if you want, and set how many spins you want it to run for. If a spin triggers the bonus mode, autoplay stops and you’re prompted to click to continue.
4. When you are playing normally, you can press the blue spin button on the right of the game each time you want to spin.
5. If you want to change your bets, use the Total Bet button on the left of the screen. Minimum bet is one and maximum bet is 500.
6. Make use of the game’s account features to look at your wallet and transaction history, check the game’s fairness or access live chat support.
7. Start playing, and enjoy your game responsibly!
Bet & Win Sizes
The minimum bet for Fate of Thrones is one and the maximum bet is 500. The Line Bet bar in the lower part of the screen lets you change the size of the bet. Bets increase by one from one to five, then to ten, then in increments of ten until they reach 50, then 100, 300 and 500.
Seeing your winnings can be slightly tricky: they’re shown for a limited time on the flag fluttering at the right of the screen.
The paytable in the info guide shows all of the payouts you might get. They will change automatically if you lower or increase your total bet. They are:
King - x60 to x100
Witch - x30 to x80
Wizard- x20 to x50
Fire, Ice, Energy Portal - x6 to x12
Spade, Heart, Diamond - x4 to x8
Multipliers shown are for three symbols and five symbols.
The Dragon (Wild) pays out with five symbols at x100.
Fate of Thrones Bonus Features
Fate of Thrones’ bonus mode, called Castle Siege, is a very different style of gameplay to the base game. It’s not a slots game anymore: you get to fire a cannon at a castle, which is surprisingly satisfying.
You control a cannon with your mouse and take aim at different parts of a snow-covered castle. This isn’t a test of skill: you will hit whatever section you aim at. Every section you hit is worth a prize, but you won’t know what each section was worth until after you take your three shots. There are fifteen different areas to aim at, so fifteen prizes from 10 up to 1000, with an equal chance of winning each prize.
Again, it’s a little difficult to see the prizes on offer because they’re not on screen for very long - which is nice, because it means you’ll be pleased with what you got instead of disappointed if you miss out on the top prize.
Fate of Thrones by Funfair Technology is a great addition to Slots Temple’s line-up of fantasy themed slots. The animations and soundtrack make it feel like a truly epic experience that fantasy fans will appreciate. Compared to other slots games, the prizes are epic too, and the game’s relatively low volatility means you can expect frequent wins. If there’s a downside, it’s that there’s only one bonus mode and it isn’t a slots game. That might be a fun change of pace or it might not be what you’re looking for, although the payout might well help overcome any disappointment.
