Introduction

Classic China culture gets a feline focus in Hungry Cats, a 2018 video slot from Aspect Gaming. This takes a 5x4 grid formation with 50 fixed paylines.

Below the reels is the user interface, showing the balance, bet options, total bet and win amount from left to right. The developer states a 94.05% RTP for this slot, which is rather disappointing as we’d hope to see around 96% for such a themed offering. It’s also medium volatility, so there could be some variation in terms of payout frequency and amount. Prizes are unlikely to be as frequent as low variance slots, but they’re probably more average in size; while there aren’t going to be huge prizes on offer, they should be relatively appealing as symbol values here are fairly decent.

Overall Review

The graphics and sound are confident and cultivate a warm sense of traditional China at home, with felines to keep you company. It’s a pleasure to look at and simple to navigate, so it’s an easy pick-up-and-play slot.

The game having only one feature may seem a little dry to those that prefer a more multi-faceted slot to keep things interesting and it’s a shame that more free spins can’t be retriggered during the round.
