With nearly ten games in the series, Rainbow Riches is a slots series from Barcrest that continually presents players with new and interesting ways to win prizes. While each game puts a new spin on classic slots gameplay, there are certainly some games in the series that are better than others - and, some that are much worse. So, our slots experts have ranked all of the Rainbow Riches slots (from best to worst) based on their gameplay, as well as which ones are most popular among our players.

Rainbow Riches Pick n Mix

Rainbow Riches Pick n Mix is the best of the bunch. It’s the most popular game among Slots Temple players, and for a good reason. The game does something that not many other slots do: gives its players a choice.

Before the game begins, players can selection up to three bonus features that they would like to appear of five options:

  • - Road to Riches
  • - Free Spins
  • - Pots of Gold
  • - Cash Crop
  • - Magic Toadstools

The game also comes equipped with the Big Bet feature, which allows players to spin a prize wheel for the chance to immediately trigger one of the player’s selected bonuses immediately, rather than waiting for the necessary game symbols.

Offering players a very flexible and customisable online gaming experience, it’s no wonder Rainbow Riches is such a widely enjoyed game at online casinos.

Rainbow Riches Megaways

Rainbow Riches Megaways combines the classic gameplay of the original game with the innovative and modern Megaways mechanic. Players are offered up to 117,640 winning ways with each spin, and there’s a huge 10,000x prize for up grab.

Cascading wins allow you to trigger multiple prizes on a single spin, and there is a Super Gem bonus that transforms symbols and makes way for big wins. During the free spins round, each cascade will increase your multiplier – and, there’s no limit to how high it can go!

Rainbow Riches

The OG Rainbow Riches slot still has a high ranking on our list, because it really has stood the test of time. Even with dozens of new slots being released every week, Rainbow Riches has managed to maintain its reputation as one of the most fun games out there.

Players appreciate the three generous bonus features available in Rainbow Riches. Many slots nowadays barely even have one off-screen bonus, but there are three here, each providing players with the chance to cash in on amazing prizes.

Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold

This game also does a great job of adding to the gameplay of the original Rainbow Riches. There are actually two sets of reels in this game – one with the regular game symbols and one with gold and silver pots of gold. If a Drops of Gold symbol lands, all of the pots will fall from the top reels into the corresponding spaces on the bottom to help you land more generous wins.

It is a very unique game mechanic that we haven’t seen in any other online slots. So, it really is worth playing this slot to try out the Drops of Gold feature.

Leprechaun’s Gold

Leprechaun’s Gold is quite a fun Rainbow Riches slot, but it isn’t particularly popular among online slots players. The game has 7 reels and 50 paylines, but wins don’t seem to come around very often, as it is a higher volatility online slot.

There are also quite a few bonus features in Rainbow Riches: Leprechaun’s Gold. So, you’d think you would get to land at least one of them within your session – but, that doesn’t seem to be the case, so it just plays like quite a boring slot.

Reels of Gold

If you’ve played Zeus 1000, then you know what you’re getting into with Rainbow Riches: Reels of Gold. Even with 100 paylines, the game doesn’t pay out wins as frequently as you would expect. Like Leprechaun’s Gold, the Reels of Gold has the potential to offer up some amazing bonus wins, but just doesn’t. Multipliers, magic wilds, stacks, free spins and symbol shuffle are just some of the bonuses offered in this game, but you don’t see much of them. However, when you do end up on a lucky streak, these features can encourage from incredibly generous wins.

Fortune Favours

If you’re a high roller, then Fortune Favours is a good option. The game revolves around the Magic Fairy symbol, who can transform symbols to help you land bigger wins. While it sounds promising, the main issue is that she only makes a significant difference when you trigger the Big Bet as she will transform more symbols, add wilds and even remove low-paying symbols from the reels. It all sounds exciting, but you don’t get to see any of it in action unless you’re willing to shell out 50x your stake.

Free Spins

This isn’t the only game in the Rainbow Riches series of offer free spins, so it didn’t really make much sense for Barcrest to create a game that centres around the entire concept of this particular bonus feature. What’s worse is that this is the only bonus in the game, so it’s really just like any other online slot.

Leapin Leprechauns

Leapin Leprechauns isn’t really a slot, but we’ll include it anyways. It’s an instant win game, where you jump up floating platforms to collect prizes. The higher you climb, the more prizes you can collect – but there are obstacles that may knock you back down and end your game.

Just like with any scratchcard, it was rare that we won our stake back and never actually managed to make a profit. It’s kind of cute but that’s really all it has going for it – so, we’d advise giving it a miss.
