Thunderkick brought out a massively successful slot with Wild Heist at Peacock Mansion, but since then, players and critics have been awaiting another smash hit. Jaguar Temple slot is the first we have seen since Thunderkick Games’ Yeti Battle of Greenhat Peak mobile game was released back in June. Unfortunately it was not received well by critics and gamers alike… the developers then took a lengthy hiatus.
Thunderkick Games went from steadily releasing a slot game once a month, to having a gap of three months between Yeti and Jaguar Slots. The Thunderkick Games team may well have just had a rest over the Summer, but let’s hope they will continue to produce even more slots at a regular pace from now on.
Jaguar Temple Slot is very easy on the eye, with a setting sun backdrop over jagged mountains and sparkling stars shining above the reels. The 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 pay lines are encased in an ornately carved Incan stone tablet, with jaguar claws of gold in the bottom corners. A nice little reminder of the wealth of the Incan Empire, and a promise of the wealth to be won with this game!
Jaguar Temple Symbols
The symbols continue the Incan Empire theme, with birds, rabbits, dogs, fish and golden jaguars as the premium symbols, in addition to the card suits of hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades. The animals are reminiscent of those found in the vast South American jungle, and ones which the Incas would have hunted and lived alongside.
The jaguar symbol is the most valuable symbol in the game - while it appears as a regular 1x1 symbol, it can also be a massive 3x3 sized ‘big cat’! This jumbo jaguar can appear at random spins, both during the base game and during the bonus round (but mainly in the bonus feature). If you get 5 golden jaguars across one pay line, it rewards you with 50 times your bet.
Jaguar Temple Features
The wild symbol is an Incan character with gold jaguar headdress and blazing blue eyes, and it can substitute for all symbols except the scatter. The wilds are found only on the 3 middle reels, and when you get a Wild during the many free spins available, it will expand to give a full Wild reel. This means that, potentially, you could land 3 wild reels, plus the jaguar symbol on the 2 side reels, in order to get a return of 1000x your stake on a single spin! There are some sites which have stated that the maximum win amount is capped at 2045 times your stake - however, there has been conflicting information on other sites, and no confirmation from Thunderkick Slots themselves.
If the scatter symbol appears either 3, 4 or 5 times, you will receive 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. During the bonus game, if you get 2,3, 4 or 5 scatters on the reels, you will receive 3, 10, 15 or 20 free spins additionally. You can also win up to 40 free spins in the bonus feature.
