Theme and gameplay

Gears of Fortune is an individual offering and quite special in the slots world. Unlike the usual slots with their reels and paylines, this slot features a central gear that you spin to land on different symbols. After selecting your bet, press spin to begin. The gear lands on a symbol to reveal a prize, a hazard or a jackpot question.

Symbols and payouts

The symbols in this game include colourful cash cogs, a red triple cog and a key symbol. You need to spin a certain number of each symbol to be rewarded with the prize.

The blue cash cog needs to be spun twice to receive 100% of your bet, the purple cash cog three times to receive 200% of your bet, the green cash cog three times to receive 400% of your bet, and the yellow cash cog five times to get 800% of your bet as a payout!

Every time you spin a key symbol, you get to answer a jackpot question. These are random quiz questions with two possible answers, one of which is correct. The questions can be in any genre, from geography to politics.

Watch out for the red triple cog, as this is the hazard symbol. If you spin five of these symbols, you lose the game. This means you can start again with a new bet.

Cash cogs

There are 1,000 coloured jackpot cogs at the beginning of the game and 12 different types of jackpot cog that can be triggered.

Each cog belongs to four different types of cog - bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Hit a set of cogs to receive the payout for the specific type, ranging from 100% to 800% of your bet.

Jackpot gears

Whenever you answer the quiz question correctly after spinning a key symbol, you are awarded a random jackpot gear. You need to collect three versions of a gear to win the jackpot. These jackpots increase as your bet increases.

The jackpots increase with the bronze jackpot paying 2,500% of your bet, the silver paying 5,000%, the gold paying 10,000% and the top platinum jackpot paying a huge 100,000% of your bet!

Betting options

You can alter your bet in Gears of Fortune by increasing or decreasing your total stake. This gives a minimum bet of $1 and a max bet of $50 throughout the game.

Once you have decided on your bet, you cannot alter it for each spin; the bet stays the same throughout that individual game. If you hit five red triple cogs, the game ends and you can start a new one with a fresh bet.
