Theme, graphics & soundtrack
As the name indicates, the theme of the game is Japanese masks. Specifically, the masks are Japanese traditional folk masks, some of which are pretty unusual looking. There are two cute pandas standing on either side of the reels, dancing, swaying and reacting to the action on the reels. This is a fun touch and you will be waiting to see what they do next. The reels fall into place one by one with the symbols only revealed as the reels stop. This keeps things exciting, as you have no idea which symbols are lining up until the reels are individually revealed.
The soundtrack is subtle Japanese music that suits the theme of the game and doesn't detract from the experience. There are also the usual sound effects as the reels fall into their final position and winning combos are formed. The graphics are impressive on the whole, although the dancing pandas do appear to be slightly more basic than the rest of the graphics, which is a little jarring at times.

How to play
1. The first thing to do is set your bet size. There are 10 fixed paylines, so you can't choose which lines to bet on - you will always be betting on all 10 lines. To change your bet, simply use the plus and minus buttons either side of the total bet display. The amount will change as you cycle through the options.
2. When you are happy with your bet size, you can hit the spin button to get started.
3. To use autoplay, hit the autoplay button on the screen. You will be able to choose from a number of options and set up a pre-determined number of spins. You can also set a win and loss limit.
To win, you will need to land three or more symbols on an active payline. The 10 paylines are displayed in the game information panel to the bottom left of the screen and you can view all the ways to win here, along with the game's paytable. The symbols in this game are, unusually, all picture symbols - in this case, masks. There are no generic symbols, such as playing card icons. The masks all pay out different sums, with the highest paying symbol worth 10x the value of the lowest symbol.

Tengu wild
The game's wild symbol appears in the base game and can give you free re-spins. The wild can only land on the three central reels - reels two, three and four - and can land in any position. When it lands, it promptly expands to cover the whole reel and changes into the goddess wild symbol. This will then trigger a re-spin, giving you further chances to win, all the while with the full reel wild in place. The maximum number of re-spins available is three and the wild is sticky for the duration.
Free spins
The free spins are in fact re-spins, as described above. You can win up to three free re-spins every time a wild lands on the central reels and expands to fill the whole reel. We award this slot 7/10. It is nice playing a different looking slots game from a lesser-known game provider, but this does feel a little limited after a while. If you win big on the re-spin feature, however, you might feel differently and want to give it a 10!
