Game Theme & Storyline 

This Lonely Planet online slot is definitely not the most sophisticated of slots in terms of theme and design. It has a childlike quality to the cartoon graphics that is inappropriate for the target audience, and the 2D design feels flat and uninspiring. 

The saving graces are it is colourful and there are some attempts at animation to lift the design. The soundtrack is also jaunty, although incredibly repetitive and absolutely nothing to do with the theme.

It is also worth pointing out at this point that the gameplay is not exactly like many other video slots in that the grid is not filled with lots of symbols. Instead, it is generally made up of what might be black holes, and most spins only see a few actual symbols land.

You may like this idea, but in terms of the aesthetic appeal it does mean that the grid looks dull. It is only slightly elevated by the small animated one-eyed creature which stands to the side and the spinning green planet in the background.
