Introduction

Robocon is an exciting online slot from the creators at Aspect Gaming. Played on a 5x3 reel grid, the slot is set in the future and is packed full of cute-looking cartoon robots and other technology-inspired symbols.

The game features 243 winning ways, and to win in Robocon all you need to do is line up 3+ matching symbols starting on the leftmost reel. The Wild symbol in Robocon can substitute for any symbols (including the Scatter) to help you hit larger and more frequent winning combinations on every spin.

The Wild can also trigger the free spins bonus round with up to 38 free spins randomly awarded when you land 3+ Wilds in any position. Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

With a name like Robocon, we don’t need to tell you the theme of this slot! The game takes place on what looks like a robot’s circuit board, with all sorts of technological themed symbols adorning the reels (even the lower-valued A - 9 symbols are themed with wires, etc. hanging out of them).

As with many robotic and futuristic slots, this slot features some incredibly cute characters amongst fuel gauges and cogs. The soundtrack is also “cute”, with an upbeat and quirky tune playing continuously. The soundtrack does a good job of pulling you into the slot and making you feel right at home.

Robocon RTP & Volatility

Robocon offers an RTP of 94.18% and Aspect haven’t announced the volatility for the slot. How to Play Robocon

1. To start with, look for the cog button to the left of the reels. From here, click the ‘?’ icon at the bottom of the screen to view the game’s paytable, paylines, and bonus feature rules.

Conclusion

Overall, we thought Robocon was a well designed online slot with some decent winning potential and good playability. We did think the graphics maybe looked a little cluttered, but appreciated the attention to detail and commitment to the theme that Aspect have demonstrated (slots always get bonus points from us when the A-9 symbols are also themed).

We liked that the Wild could also substitute for the Scatter as a fairly unusual feature that made it far easier to trigger the free spins, although we might have liked to see something extra happen in the free spins round… Maybe a multiplier or mystery symbol.

The RTP is low for Robocon (we usually like online slots to offer a minimum of 95% RTP) which could put off some players, but the prizes are sufficient to help combat this.
