Introduction

There’s something about the mighty Aztec Empire that really captures the imagination of slots fans. Perhaps it’s the idea of a powerful civilisation that managed to rise and fall, leaving behind only ruins. Graphics & Soundtrack

Bright and colourful graphics that look as good on mobile devices as they do on PC screens are the order of the day in Aztec Palace. Snakes slither between the cracks in the stonework, while butterflies make their way across the reels. To either side of the reels are two stone lion water features, with water spouting from between their jaws.

Meanwhile, a selection of colourful masks and artefacts appear on the reels, as well as playing card icons chiselled from stone. The backing track adds extra atmosphere, with pan pipes and jungle drums capturing the flavour of the game perfectly.

Aztec Palace RTP & Volatility

The RTP of 95.57% is perfectly respectable, but Aztec Palace is a high-volatility online slot. Approach the game with caution, and make sure you explore it thoroughly in demo mode before wagering your own cash.

How to Play Aztec Palace

1. Decide how much you’re prepared to wager on each spin. We suggest ensuring you have sufficient funds for at least 100 spins if you’re playing with real cash.

You play Aztec Palace with a coin value that ranges from 0.01 to 20.00 per payline. With 20 fixed paylines in the game, that means you have an overall betting range from 0.20 up to 400.00 per spin. Aztec Palace Bonus Features & Free Spins

Aztec Palace offers the usual Wilds and Scatters, as well as an additional Bonus symbol, which in this case activates a Skull Pick game.

There are two different Wilds that can spin up on the reels. The first of these is a standard Wild symbol, and you’ll need to land five of them to win a cash prize worth 50x your stake, but that’s only part of the story. It’s also the game’s substitution symbol, so it acts as any other symbol in the game, apart from the Bonus and Scatter. Every time it appears on the reels, there’s a good chance that it will help to generate one or more winning combinations across a payline.

But there’s also another type of Wild, called the Bursting Wild, which can crop up on any reel in the game. As their name suggests, they burst once they land, and in the process they turn up to 8 symbols on the reels Wild, which can generate some spectacular wins.

The Bonus symbol has the word Bonus written across it, so it’s impossible to miss. Land three or more of them with one spin to trigger the Pick a Skull game. A selection of skulls now replaces the reels, and you’re invited to select one to reveal an instant cash prize.

But let’s face it: it’s the free spins feature that players are really hoping to see when they spin a slots game, and Booming Games have managed to squeeze one of those in, too, which is activated when you land three or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels.

Now you venture deep into the Aztec Palace, where a new set of reels is unveiled. You’ll be awarded ten Free Spins, during which all low-value playing card symbols are removed from the reels.
