The Boom Bucks style icons
This game features the very symbols that have given us the name 'fruit machines', which we use in the UK to this day. Fruit was in fact used as symbols because prizes were given out as fruit sweets in the late 1800s when mechanical slots were first developed in the US. Of course, with the emergence of health and safety, sweets were no longer used as prizes.
However, the cute and reliable symbols continued to stay in use, even until today where we tend to see them in delightfully nostalgic games such as this. The screen is a replica of a land-based machine with the paytable in view within the top half as well as the Bonus Bucks wheel which we will explore later on. The bottom half of the screen are the three reels and command bar.
How to play Boom Bucks
This game has two bet levels, of four and eight. Depending on which one you pick, you will win either 20 or 30 credits for three in a payline of cherries, lemons, plums and oranges. Then it's a win of 40 or 60 credits for the grapes, watermelons, bells and pears and then 100 or 200 credits for the top scoring bars and bombs. Once you've chosen your bet value of four or eight then simply press start to spin or autoplay to let the game roll a predetermined amount of spins at that bet level.
Bonus feature
Like all games of excellent standing, this one includes a bonus feature. At the top left you'll see a feature wheel called Bonus Bucks. This will light up with every spin and land on a cash prize which will either be added to the Bucks Meter or cause you to lose what's already there. If this spin coincides with the large green GO light, the winnings will not only be transferred to the Bucks Meter but you'll need to remember to hit the game's logo to get it transferred to your winning pile. This feature will be in use with every spin you take. What looks like a basic game actually has a pretty neat feature with the progressive Bucks Meter.
