Introduction

This is an online slot which grabs your attention from the powerful opening scene of a post-apocalyptic world, with animated figures easily identifiable as either ‘good guys’ or enemies. The background details add sinister extra detail, particularly the trees, with their extending curled branches looking very much like gnarled, grasping hands.

Graphics & Soundtrack

All the images featured in this KA Gaming free play slot are well drawn, bang on theme, and fun to watch out for throughout the game. Along with the hero symbols, who are mainly capable looking warriors and knights, there are six lower paying icons which are mostly weapons. The standard 5 x 3 reel format draws only faint lines between the symbols it shows off, which really allows them to shine. Watch out for the two special symbols,(bomb & hammer), which bring a bonus reward.

Although Dark Fortress has no background music the spinning reels do bring some upbeat tunes, along with amusing sound effects like cheers and clapping. Our Verdict

We really enjoyed playing Dark Fortress, and believe it’s a great choice for players of all experience levels. It may not be the most obviously generous slot around but the variety of bonus options make up for that.
