We particularly liked the tropical background of azure sea and palm trees, perhaps a secluded pirate bay. Higher-paying symbols are well designed, especially the images of the two pirates and the ghost ship with its tattered sails.

The theme is well-rendered throughout, especially during the gamble feature. Cards are laid on a map in what looks like a captain's cabin. It’s a good-looking feature that is certainly evocative of the high seas.

We would have preferred some background music, and it feels like a big miss not to include a sea shanty or a classic pirate tune. The slot is very basic with few visual embellishments, so we would have enjoyed some bigger animations to celebrate wins.
