Introduction

Theme, graphics and soundtrack

Set against a cityscape of skyscrapers at night, the grid contains the obvious icons of wealth, although perhaps billionaire is more appropriate than millionaire today. To be honest, these characters look a little dowdy and the yacht is so last century - where is the private space shuttle? It is all fairly cartoonish, however, so no one is going to take it too seriously. The soundtrack has a very 70s feel and the animation is fairly basic. It is OK to look at but nothing very inspiring.

How to play Millionaires

1. Click the spin button or press the spacebar to start playing using the current total bet value. 
2. Press the spin button again to stop the reels at any time during the spin.
3. Click ‘new bet’ to set the bet level from 0.20 to 300.00. The number of lines is fixed at 20.
4. Click ‘max bet’ to go straight to the highest possible wager.
5. Click and hold the spin button to enter the autoplay menu. This enables you to set the number of spins from 25 to infinity. The button displays the number of autospins remaining. Press the button again to exit autoplay.
6. The balance meter to the bottom right of the screen displays your current balance, which is constantly updated.
7. All symbols except scatters pay from left to right on active paylines. Only the highest win per payline is paid. All wins except scatters are multiplied by the per-line bet; scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet.

Game-in-game scatter bonus

Three or more special symbols - millionaire, diamond, luxury, house and cash - trigger the scatter bonus. The scatter bonus game initiates one spin from each three-reel game, which replaces the main grid and is displayed during the game-in-game feature. The scatter wins in any position. Scatter wins are added to line pays. These games are all one-line games in which only the central line pays out:

In the millionaire feature, the highest payout for three of a kind is 2 and the lowest is 0.20.

Millionaires review: our verdict

This isn’t an outstanding game. There is great potential in the theme, but the gameplay doesn’t live up to it. The promise of five bonus features suggests more than it delivers, as they are variants of the same spin cycle. Decent RTP and generous payouts aside, we couldn’t find much to keep us interested.
