Introduction

Ninja vs Samurai is set during a century-long period of civil unrest in Japan. Known as the Sengoku period, or the ‘Age of Warring States’, this era lasted throughout the whole of the 16th century. Graphics & Soundtrack

We haven’t played many PG Soft online slots before, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this entertaining game. Designed with a mobile-first ethos, it loads quickly, showing the rooftop of a Japanese house, across which the Ninja and Samurai make occasional appearances.

The quality of the graphics is extremely good, as are the animations. And the accompanying soundtrack is perfectly crafted for the game. It ties in brilliantly with the theme, rising to more of a crescendo once the free spins bonus round is activated.

RTP & Volatility

The theoretical RTP for Ninja vs Samurai is reported as being an astonishingly generous 97.44%. This gives a tiny house edge of just 2.56%, meaning there could be some significant cash prizes to be won. But we advise caution, as this is a medium-volatility game. Each scatter triggers 3 free spins featuring their own specific character bonus. Cards representing one free spin are shuffled, before being placed above the reels. As each character card comes to the top of the pile, that character’s bonus feature plays out for the next free spin.

Overall Review

Up until now, our only experience of Ninjas has been confined mainly to playing the Ninja Ways slots online. But in our opinion Ninja vs Samurai is definitely a game to try. The two character bonus features really lift this slot above the average. And we’re still reeling from the generous RTP of 97.44%! But as this is a medium-volatility game, which can throw a few curveballs during gameplay, we advise trying it out extensively for free, before risking your own cash.
