Theme and Graphics

It’s not possible to miss the fact that the game has been (unofficially) inspired by the movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. In the film, the eponymous hero is on the hunt for a telepathic crystal skull, but the slot game boasts visuals and graphics inspired by older films from the franchise. Set deep within a forest, symbols are lifted from ancient South American civilisations, including coins, gems, scrolls and masks, as well as explorer’s tools, such as binoculars and a water bottle. The slot’s vivid colours include greens, golds and browns, with pops of red, blue and purple. Spin Jones is joined by an unnamed female associate. Despite not having a name, the female character is the highest-paying symbol. The film-worthy soundtrack is reminiscent of a top 1980s adventure film.

How to Play Spin Jones and the Crystal Skull

Spin Jones Wild

When the Spin Jones wild symbol appears (only in Reel 3), he whips between one and three symbols, turning them into other symbols and improving the chances of a win.

Free Spins

Three or more Ancient Rune free spins symbols (only on Reels 1, 3 and 5) will trigger the free spins feature. When this happens, a number of Crystal Skulls are awarded. These skulls act as walking wilds that start at Reel 5 and move leftwards with each spin. At the start of the feature, the first skull appears on Reel 5, providing five free spins. If more Crystal Skulls are awarded, these will be added one by one until there are no more. Should a Crystal Skull appear in the reels as part of a free spin, players will be awarded one more walking Crystal Skull (five more spins). During the free spins feature, an Evil Priest may appear, and he will send the Crystal Skull back to Reel 5.

If the Spin Jones Wild appears during the free spins, it will remain in place whilst providing a respin. If any new Spin Jones appears, another respin will be awarded, with both remaining in place, and so on. Any Crystal Skulls on the reels during the respin will also remain in place for additional repsins.

This is an action-packed slot game with a title that does it justice. There really is enough to fill a movie script, with free spins, walking wilds, sticky wilds, transforming symbols and respins.
