GameArt has some competition in the dragon stakes as there are a lot of them out there in various slots. However, this is definitely a beautifully drawn and realised golden-and-green dr...agon with smouldering blue eyes. Lots of the other artwork in this game has a convincingly Thai feel, too, like the golden elephants, Lotus flowers, exotic red-eyed statues, golden shields and Thai temple scatters that you'll see. Thai dragons are actually the "Naga". These are mythical serpent-like beings that are believed to have supernatural powers and to inhabit rivers, caves and sacred lakes. Not this one, though! It's been captured and put to work breathing fire on these reels and pay lines.

The basics
There are five reels and 10 pay lines that are fixed. There is no facility for controlling the number of active pay lines like you get in some other games. However, if you want to use auto spin, you can actually set up 500 spins in one go. You can bet between 0.01 and 0.5 on your spins, with a maximum of five.
Watch that dragon prowl
He’s a powerful beast, so it's no wonder that he's been caged up and is thumping around, confined to reels 2, 3 and 4 only. Although he's wild, his tiger charm doesn't act on the temple scatter. Five of the red-eyed statues will give you a 1,250 credit. If the Thai temple appears three or four times, it’s scatter bonus time with 12 free spins. Depending how many symbols you had when the feature was triggered, you’ll be eligible for three, four or five times your winnings. There are also playing cards, which can similarly trigger wins. That's when things start getting interesting, dragon-wise.
The dragon is not going to sit quietly and watch, so if he pounces on reels 2, 3 or 4, he'll take over the entire reel and the whole thing will go wild. He'll stay there until the free spins have been used up, and he'll ensure that all of the other symbols are wild apart from the temple scatter. If you get three scatters or more, you may be able to re-trigger the free spins feature. There's also a card gambling facility, and you can choose this five times in a row if you want to. You have to predict what colour the next card will be. Every time you're correct, you double your credit points.
GameArt allows you to turn this feature off, but since Thai Dragon is a fairly simple game, you'll find it more interesting to play if you leave the gamble feature switched on. Thai Dragon’s audio is possibly a little bit underwhelming, but this isn’t a bad thing if you’re playing the slot on mobile and tablet. However, the Thai Dragons appear in various games, so this one isn't necessarily giving players anything very different. What does make it worth playing, however, is the richly-coloured graphics and the high-quality artwork, which help to make it an absorbing experience.
