This sumptuous animal themed slot features a tiger as its emblem, and the rest of the paytable is similarly luxurious. The tiger symbol is the most valuable, but the brooch, bell, lamp and lotus aren’t too far behind. You’ll find the letters A, K, Q and J, as well as the number 10, at the bottom end of the pay scale.

Theme, Graphics & Design

Tiger Palace isn’t the most exuberantly designed slot around, but it does feature a colour scheme that’s luscious and beautifully evocative of its Asian setting. The background is mostly purple with some gold leaf style embellishments creeping onto the sides. Although the colour palette works phenomenally well, that is, unfortunately, it for the background, and we would have liked to see a bit more detail in this area.

Happily, things are much improved across the paytable. There’s a fantastic set of symbols on display, especially the tiger and the brooch. Everything on the paytable is exquisitely detailed, much more so than on the background. This makes for a more magical experience and goes some way to redeem the scaled-back setting.

The music is a triumph too, albeit it a short-lived one. The sounds of jangling sitars play as the reels spin, but then they stop, which is a shame. With a soundtrack of this quality, we would have preferred a full-length backing track, but the music is always a highlight when it does play.

Our Verdict

Tiger Palace is an intriguing proposition. It doesn’t immediately dazzle with jaw-dropping visuals or perform graphical somersaults, but it’s a slow burner. The opulent colour scheme of delicious reds and golds establishes a tone of palatial splendour that sets the scene for the bonus features to come.

Free spins and respins are a rare combination. Most online slots opt for one or the other, but having both feels especially generous. Bundled alongside two different progressive jackpots, these features really load every spin with tension.

We would have liked slightly more from the background, and extending the soundtrack would have paid dividends, but Tiger Palace is otherwise a gem.
