Introduction

Released in May 2020, 20 Roosters is an animal themed slot centred around the farmyard. The Rooster is wild and substitutes for all symbols except the Easter egg scatter. There's no bonus game on this slot, but there is a gamble feature where you can choose how much of your winnings you want to gamble and has a choice of two different games to bet on.

Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

CT Gaming has created a brightly coloured farmyard themed slot filled with cartoonish animals and fruit and vegetable crops. The straw-coloured reels sit on a daisy-filled meadow in the leafy shade, with symbols including a rainbow coloured rooster, a shiny gold Easter egg with a pink bow around it, a cheeky looking pig, a playful dog, and a cat chasing a butterfly. Pumpkins, corn and tomatoes make up the remainder of the symbols in this slot. While there's no background soundtrack, the short jingles that play for each win add to the light-hearted feel of this game.

20 Roosters has a slightly higher than average RTP of 96.12% and a low to medium variance.

How to Play 20 Roosters

1. On the loading screen, first select whether you want to play with or without sound.

2. Once in the main game, take a few moments to familiarise yourself with the rules and paytable via the information button to the top left. In the main game you can remind yourself of the symbol values by touching on the reels.

3. Touch the line bars at either side of the reels to adjust the line bets. Touch the bet amount at the bottom to adjust your bet.

4. Use the settings button to access autoplay settings. You can set the number of spins in autoplay up to 1,000. There are no loss limit settings so watch your balance while autoplay is in progress, so keep an eye on your balance. You can also adjust your bet size, the number of lines you want to wager on and sound through the settings options.

20 Roosters Gamble Feature

20 Roosters may not have a bonus game, but it more than makes up for this with a sophisticated gamble feature. For every win of less than 10x your bet, you have five seconds to touch the X2 button to take you to the gamble screen where you can gamble your winnings on the turn of a playing card. Unlike many gamble features found on slots, you have more choice. You have the option to either guess whether the next card will be red or black for the chance to double or lose your win, or guess the suit of the next card for the chance to quadruple or lose your win.

You can either gamble the full amount of your winnings or opt to gamble just 1/2 your winnings, so if you lose part of them you still have another chance. The win limit is 50x your bet, after which you collect your winnings and return to the main game.

20 Roosters Review

20 Roosters is a light-hearted, cartoonish slot that doesn't take itself too seriously. If you're looking to play a few casual spins and enjoy gambling your winnings this slot is a good choice, but don't expect massive payouts - this is a low to medium volatility slot that doesn't have a bonus game to boost your balance. The extra options on the gamble feature are a great addition, however, and provide an extra dimension to the game.

The symbols on the reels often appear stacked, and during our test run of 250 spins we landed several 5 of a kind wins from the lower tier symbols, with wins of up to 7x our 20 line bet. Our highest win was from 4 full reels of Cats combined with 1 full reel of Roosters that gave us a mega win of 200x our bet. Three stacked reels or more of the same symbol will trigger a 'Full House' win animation, and as the name of the game suggests, landing 20 Roosters would be the ultimate win.
