To be honest, we preferred the first batch of John Hunter games with a more comic book style aesthetic, as there’s something a little bit “uncanny valley” about slot games with graphics that look almost real. Still, it doesn’t take anything away from the gameplay and the overall look is vibrant and will catch your eye.

Money Respin Feature

When you land five or more silver coin symbols on the reels, you’ll trigger the Money Respin bonus. When this happens, all of the regular symbols disappear and only coins may appear on the reels.

You get 3 respins, and the counter resets to 3 whenever you land one more silver coin symbol. Each of these coins as a cash value or it can contain one of the three jackpots:

Overall Review

John Hunter and the Book of Kingdoms is far from the most original slot we’ve played, but there are still some good bits. You can never really go wrong by pairing a respins bonus and a free spins bonus in the same game’ it’s just a shame that you only get 5 free spins at a time.

The two bonus features are definitely player favourites. The respin bonus is similar to the one you’ll find in Money Train 2 while the free spins round is a lot like the Book of Dead bonus. While players do love these features, it would have been nice if Pragmatic Play did something just a little bit different.  

The maths model is the big selling point of this game. Book of Kingdoms is a medium volatility slot with a high RTP of 96.69%. So, while you might not experience loads of ground-breaking bonuses, you’ll be able to take advantage of pretty generous winning potential.

Overall, Book of Kingdoms is not really the kind of game you’ll want to play if you’re looking for a unique or modern online gaming experience. This is more of a slot for fans of classic-style games.
