Floating Dragon Hold & Spin is a video slot from Reel Kingdom, and it’s built around a 5-reel, 3-row format. The slot’s bonuses and features include re-spins, a free spins bonus round and a cash collection bonus.

Floating Dragon Hold & Spin is a brand-new video slot from Reel Kingdom, and it’s yet another addition to their hugely-popular “Hold & Spin” series of games which have proved to be incredibly popular with players.

In this Floating Dragon Hold & Spin slot review, we’re going to be giving you an in-depth and comprehensive look at everything the slot has to offer.

Format and Betting Options

Floating Dragon Hold & Spin is built around a standard 5-reel, 3-row format, and there’s 10 fixed paylines active on each and every spin. So, what does the term fixed mean? Well, it simply means that you’re unable to adjust the number of paylines that are active on each spin.

When it comes to betting options, Floating Dragon Hold & Spin allows players to spin the slot from as little as 0.10 credits per spin. The maximum bet per spin is a whopping 250 credits.

Graphics and Theme

Floating Dragon Hold & Spin has a really nice, calming and open look and feel to it - and from the moment you first load up the slot you’ll notice that the software provider has worked hard to put together a theme that clearly takes inspiration from the Oriental world.

The game’s reels are set on a backdrop that features a clear blue sky, and orange-lit clouds can be seen on either side of the reels - making for a great-looking game. There’s also a really pleasant soundtrack that accompanies each spin.

Floating Dragon Hold & Spin’s RTP and Volatility

Floating Dragon Hold & Spin has a maximum win-potential of 5,000X your stake. However, this increase in win-potential does mean that Floating Dragon Hold & Spin is more volatile than previous releases.

When it comes to the RTP of Floating Dragon Hold & Spin, Reel Kingdom has done a great job. The RTP is, by default, a higher-than-average 96.71%.

Bonus Features

There’s a couple of bonuses and features to be found within Floating Dragon Hold & Spin, and we’re going to cover both of these in the section below.

Hold & Spin

The Hold & Spin bonus round is the most iconic feature in Floating Dragon Hold & Spin (the name itself should give it away) and it’s triggered by landing the Gold Coin symbols on the middle reel. These are all worth between 1X and 20X your total bet size, and if you manage to land three on a single spin, the bonus round is triggered.

Once the bonus round has activated, the three gold coins on the middle reel will lock in place, and the rest of the reels then begin to re-spin. You are initially awarded with 3 re-spins, and each time a new coin lands on the screen, the number of re-spins you have left resets to 3.

This process continues until you either fill the entire screen with coins, or until you fail to hit a new coin in three consecutive re-spins.

Free Spins

The second bonus round in Floating Dragon Hold & Spin is the free spins feature and this is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 of the scatter symbols anywhere in view. Doing so awards 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.

Once the free spins bonus round begins, you’ll notice that a new female symbol appears on the reels. She acts as a wild symbol, and each time she lands on the screen, she’ll collect the cash value of all the money fish symbol - similar to the fishing feature in Fishin’ Frenzy.

Each time you collect three of the scatter symbols you’ll “level up”, and each time you do so a multiplier increases, up to 10X. This multiplier is then applied against any of the coin collection wins.

Floating Dragon Hold & Spin Review

One of the first things we noticed when putting this review of Floating Dragon Hold & Spin is that it’s the game developer’s first Hold & Spin slot to come from their development labs to not feature the iconic fruity theme. However, we actually really like the way in which Floating Dragon Hold & Spin has been designed and developed.

We also like the fact that you’re able to win as much as 5,000X your total stake. While this isn’t as much as we’ve seen in some of the other recent slot releases, it’s still a decent amount - an amount many players would be more than happy to scoop!

Sure, the free spins bonus round is pretty heavily influenced by classics like Fishin’ Frenzy, but, again, Reel Kingdom has put their own spin on things. On the whole, while Floating Dragon Hold & Spin doesn’t offer anything overly intuitive or creative, it’s a slot we feel is well-worth checking out.
