Spinomenal brings us a slice of springtime joy in this fresh release for 2021, complete with some very fancy easter eggs. Easter Spin is played out on a 6x4 matrix that has 100 adjustable paylines, which in itself is not all that common in the egaming arena. 

The game is laid out in such a way that makes it convenient and fairly user-friendly. Below the reels, you’ll find the paylines to the left and the total stake to the right. In the middle are max bet, spin and autospin buttons. To the lower left is sound toggle and the bunny turbo boost. The game information is located via the question mark to the right of the bet total.

There are 6 base game symbols, including a gold egg, red egg, J, K, Q and A. 

The basket of eggs is the Wild, substituting all bar the scatter to help form winning combinations. The scatter is the butterfly, which pays on any position.

Symbols pay for combinations of 3 to 6 on a payline. Wins are multiplied by the bet per line. While the developer states stacked symbols on the product page, we can’t see any sign of these in the gameplay or the in-game instructions. 

Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

Easter Spin is a nature and season-themed slot, giving us a breath of fresh air and a dose of sunshine on a grey day with its colourful design. 

The backdrop is a lush green parkland with grassy hills, rocky outcrops, a calm river and large trees. It’s a quiet slice of paradise, perfect for a spin to get away from reality for a while. The reels are simply outlined and adorned with bright white daisies and yellow flowers, which also adorn the main buttons below to bring out a fresh spring vibe. 

Easter Spin is a beautifully designed slot with cartoon-esque graphics that seem to work in their simplicity. The backdrop isn't detailed, but it works, and it cultivates that springtime appeal well. The colours are bold and symbols are crisply cut to give a contemporary finish. There’s no noteworthy animation other than small dot-like sparkles moving about the background, but there are flashes of light and lines to celebrate payline wins. A tinkly, upbeat soundtrack accompanies gameplay, giving this a fairytale edge that compliments the style of the Royal card symbols. 

Easter Spin RTP and Variance

The return to player is 96.3%, which we consider to be pretty decent. Unfortunately, the variance isn’t stated anywhere online and we wouldn’t want to guess what it is.

Easter Spin is a simple slot without any bells and whistles, which means that you won't find any free spins or bonus features here. However, the butterfly scatter does pay in any position, which helps boost payout potential somewhat. This means that you just have to get 3 scatters anywhere on the reels for a prize.

Easter Spin Review Overall

The 96.3% RTP is appealing, but it’s a shame not having a known volatility as a guideline for what to expect. We do, however, know that the top prize is 3000x the line bet, which isn’t too shabby. Given the top stakes possible here, there’s plenty of payout potential that should satiate the higher rollers. Meanwhile, more casual players should find the 0.10 minimum bet a good starting stake.

We like the scatter paying anywhere on the reels, but we doubt this will be enough of a temptation to lure in as many players as similar slots of this ilk. We don’t know that it would necessarily have much longevity of gameplay given the lack of tension, surprise or interest with this game not having a single bonus game. It’s a lovely slot and simple to pick up for casual entertainment, but it doesn’t pack much of a punch during gameplay.
