Theme, Graphics and Soundtrack

From the dramatic introduction screen which features only three of the four fairies the tone is set. Woohoo have plunged deep into the fantasy pool and come up with swirling colours, extravagant dress and unnerving pointy ears.

The grid itself is set in an ornate frame against a background that is unmistakably fantastical: purples and greens shrouded in shadow, willow branches waving gently, fireflies flitting through the trees.

The animation is fairly subdued, with wins briefly illuminated and the Fairy and Wins flowers flexing and opening. Apart from that there is just the super-imposition of a magical plant to announce a big win and not much else to look at.

The musical accompaniment sounds like incidental music from a movie and fits fairly well with the theme, making it a well-rounded realisation.

How to Play Fairy Wins

1. Click the Spin button to start the reels spinning. If you click on settings from the menu, you can also choose to enable the space bar to spin and stop.
2. Click again to stop the reels.
3. Select the Bet Amount button to adjust the bet level.
4. Click on the auto play symbol to select the number of automatic spins: 10, 25, 50, 100 or infinity. Here you can also set the bet level for the autoplay mode.
5. The balance will be displayed at the bottom left of the screen.
6. All of the symbols pay left to right apart from scatters - these pay in either direction. Wins on different lines are added. Scatter wins will be added to line wins and then multiplied by the total bet. Line wins are multiplied by the bet per line. Only the highest win on each line will pay. Fairy Wins Bonus Features

Free Spins

The free spins feature will be triggered when ‘Fairy’ (blue flower) appears on reel 1 and ‘Wins’ (yellow flower) appears on reel 5 simultaneously. You then select a fairy, which will award up to 25 free spins. Fairy and Wins are additional substitutes that substitute for all symbols during free spins. During the free spins round the prize multiplier goes up for every Fairy or Wins symbol which appears before pay-outs occur. The free spins multiplier starts at 1 and can rise to a maximum of 10. Wilds and Scatters

Fairy Wins Review: Our Verdict

Although Fairy Wins doesn’t have any striking new ideas, what it does it does well. It’s a shame there is no bonus game and no gamble feature, but the free spins has a novel twist, which is that the player is called on to get more involved by selecting the fairy in the hope of winning the most free spins. A decent enough effort.
