Over the past few years we’ve seen Foxium continue to enjoy a positive shift in momentum within the online gambling industry. They’ve brought out some fairly successful games, and have secured partnerships with some of the biggest software providers in the industry - Microgaming, for example, who’s software they use to distribute their games.

Foxium’s latest slot release is called Foxpot, and this game is all about the virtual casino experience; it’s bright, full of action and fast-paced - and you can expect lots of action, along with the possibility of winning up to 10,000X your stake!

While the game is built around a pretty basic 3-reel, 1-row format - with just one payline - it offers a decent RTP of 96.31%, and you’ll find yourself able to play the game from between 0.20 and 25 credits per spin. In this Foxpot review, we’re going to be giving you an in-depth, impartial and comprehensive look at what the game has to offer - kicking things off with a look at the game’s graphics and theme.

Graphics and Theme

One of the things we have become used to seeing from Foxium is great graphics; Foxpot is no exception, and the slot offers up a fantastically diverse and high-quality playing experience, one that’s sure to capture the attention of players from all around the world.

The game utilises a somewhat classic theme - so it looks kind of like the type of slot you’d find in Vegas. That being said, Foxium has managed to put a very modern touch on the game, and it’s filled with crisp animations, fitting soundtracks and state-of-the-art rendering technology, allowing for smooth and hassle-free gameplay at all times.

Foxpot’s RTP and Volatility

We were pleasantly surprised to see that the RTP of Foxpot came in above-average, at 96.31%. This is especially impressive given that the game offers three jackpots - and while they’re not progressive jackpots, it’s still a pretty high RTP all things considered.

When it comes to the game’s volatility, Foxpot falls into the “medium variance” section. This means that base-game wins are relatively frequent, and while they’re not going to be worth a huge amount of money, you can be relatively confident that you won’t have to undergo long periods of play-time without hitting wins.

Subsequently, we also found that actually triggering the main bonus round (details of which we’ll cover in the next part of this review) was relatively easy; we’d say, on average, the bonus round triggers around once in every 100 spins.

Foxpot’s Bonus Features

While, on the face of it, Foxpot may not look to offer that much in the way of bonuses and features, Foxium has actually managed to build in a number of features - all of which are delivered through a mechanism called the Prize Wheel.

The Prize Wheel is triggered when you manage to land the bonus symbols on one reel - and to help you achieve this, there’s also a “nudge” feature which can randomly shift other bonus symbols which land partially in view to fully land on the screen.

Once triggered you’ll be taken to a brand new screen where you’ll see the Prize Wheel in its full glory. It’s split into three different segments, and, depending on how many of the bonus symbols you landed, you’ll get to spin this Prize Wheel up to three times in total. Below, we look at what you can win with how many bonus symbols you manage to land in view:

  • 1 Bonus Symbol: you get one spin on the Prize Wheel, which offers you the chance to win an array of cash prizes, along with one of the three in-game jackpots; the Mini, Midi and Foxpot. The latter is worth 1,000X your stake.
  • 2 Bonus Symbols: if you land two bonus symbols, you get to spin the Prize Wheel as normal; however, you also then get to spin again for a multiplier which is applied against any winnings you managed to win from the first spin of the wheel.
  • 3 Bonus Symbols: landing three bonus symbols allows you both the above ‘perks’ - but it also gives you the chance of landing a re-spin, repeating the process and further adding to the total amount of money you can win.

It may appear quite a basic feature - and in reality, it is. However, Foxium has managed to make quite a simple and basic feature fun, with some big win-potential on offer; if you manage to land the Foxpot jackpot and hit the 10X multiplier, you can walk away with wins worth up to 10,000X your stake!

Our Verdict of Foxpot

When Foxium first announced details of Foxpot, they told the iGaming industry that they wanted to release a game that was able to provide a land-based gaming experience in a modern, online video slot. Foxpot appears to achieve just that, and we think it’s fair to say the software provider has done an excellent job of creating a slot machine that’s both fun-to-play, exciting - offers big win-potential - and still carries that charm found in many land-based slots.

Of course, Foxpot isn’t going to appeal to all players - and those who’re used to playing Megaways-like slots may find that the game simply doesn’t offer enough to keep them interested. However, those who are fans of more “stripped down” games will likely find the game offers a more-than-sufficient array of bonuses and features, despite its basic nature.

We really like the fact that the prize wheel is triggered by landing just one of the bonus symbols - as this, we feel, means it tends to trigger a bit more frequently than in some of Foxium’s other games. The multipliers and re-spins can dish out some pretty significant wins too, and if you are lucky enough to hit that 10X multiplier, you can find yourself walking away with wins of up to 10,000X your stake!

Foxpot won’t be a game for everyone, but it’s a decent effort from Foxium and it does a really good job we feel. It’s laid-back, but has enough action to ensure the gameplay isn’t boring - and while we dont expect it to become the industry’s next Book of Dead, we do feel it will do quite well - especially among those who’re loyal Foxium fans!

Foxpot Slot FAQs

What platform is Foxpot delivered through?

Foxium currently has a unique licensing agreement with Microgaming. This means that Foxium themselves make the slots, but Microgaming is responsible for pushing them out to online casinos and running them - in other words, the game’s are built on Microgaming software - the Quickfire platform.

How much can I win while playing Foxpot?

Despite the basic structure and mechanic that Foxpot is built around, Foxium has chosen to implement a staggeringly high maximum win - and this is thanks to the in-game jackpots. The “Foxpot” - the biggest jackpot in the game - is worth a whopping 10,000X your stake!

How many paylines are there in Foxpot?

You don’t need to spend long even looking at Foxpot to notice that - well, there isn’t a huge amount going on. This applies in terms of the structure/build too, and the game offers just one payline! Because of this, you can expect wins to land fairly infrequently - but when they do land, you’ll usually end up with a fairly decent payout!

What is the RTP of Foxpot?

Like all of Foxium’s games, Foxpot is delivered with just one RTP - this means that online casinos are unable to request different RTP settings of the slot. Currently, Foxpot is running at an RTP of 96.31% - so it’s pretty much in-line with what we’ve come to expect from online video slot developers.

What are the betting limits in Foxpot?

Like we’ve seen from the majority of Foxium’s slots, Foxpot comes with fairly narrow betting limits - and you’ll notice that the maximum bet is just 25 credits. This is likely to be a turn-off to those looking to wager larger sums of money. However, the minimum bet is just 0.20 credits - so those on a budget shouldn’t have any issues playing at a stake they’re comfortable with.
