The Gate of The Pharaohs slot is designed by High 5 Games. It is played on an initial 5x5 grid which generates 3125 bet ways which pay left to right. There is a wild symbol on reels 2, 3 and 4 which substitutes for all of the ten winning symbols. A scatter symbol triggers bonus games when six or more appear on the reels. The maximum number of these games is 30 awarded when 12 scatters land in the base game. The feature does not re-trigger. The scatter also appears on just the centre reels.

At the start of bonus games each space on the reels can become a double or quadruple position. Double positions can change to quadruple positions in this phase, and once gaining this status remain so. Any symbol which lands in a double or quadruple position upgrades to that number of symbols, including the wild. Accordingly, the pay lines can increase to 100,000.
