Legend of Thanh Giong does not break any new ground in terms of Oriental theming, but it is a perfectly passable game in terms of player experience and aesthetics. The action takes place in a traditional village with straw-topped cabins and swaying trees visible from behind the reel set. The reels themselves are a pale wood colour and framed by hollow bamboo sticks. There are only nine paying symbols, which can make wins more frequent, and half of them are the traditional, if a little safe, tens, jacks, queens and kings. The remaining four are bamboo, rice and fruit, a helmet and, curiously and for reasons unknown, a golden footprint on a red background.

The music is exactly what players will expect from a Far Eastern themed game, though it does tend to get repetitive fairly quickly.
