Overall Theme 

The theme in this slot revolves around mining. You will be taking a trip down into the mines along with a friendly mining character. All of the symbols reflect the theme, and surrounding the reels are various rocks and mining tools. What we don’t understand is the subtle Irish theme that plays along with the mining. There is no clear link between the two, which is a detail of the game that is lacking. You can find a similarly themed game with the Diamond Mine Megaways slot.

How to Play Mine of Riches

The controls for Mine of Riches sit at the bottom of the screen. We’ve given you a run-through of the controls below to help you play the game. 

1. Set your bet using the line bet button. Clicking the arrow to the side of this panel will display all of the bets you can choose from. Your total bet is displayed to the right side of the screen. 
2. Use the max bet button to set the maximum bet amount in the game. 
3. The central blue spin button can be used to spin the reels once. 
4. Auto spin will bring up a menu where you can choose from a number of spins that will go on their own. 
5. The hamburger menu allows you to toggle the music and sounds. 
6. The information button brings up the various bonus features for the game as well as the paytable.

There is a good betting range in Mine of Riches that will suit high rollers and players on a tighter budget. Per line you can bet anywhere from 0.05 coins to eight coins. This means that you will have a minimum bet of 1.50 coins per spin up to a maximum of 240 coins.

Wild and Collect 

You can both collect wilds and use the expanding wild feature with this bonus. The wild symbol can replace all of the other symbols in the game apart from the scatter. This helps you to form more and better winning combinations. 

Landing four of the wild symbols on the reels will turn them into expanding wilds. These wilds become sticky for the next four spins too, so they remain in place to help you get more wins. 

Free Spins 

Landing three or more of the scatter symbols on the reels will get you ten free spins. These free spins can be retriggered throughout the round. During the free spins round any wild symbol that lands will carry a multiplier with it. They can be worth up to 10x your total bet, which makes them very valuable in the free spins round. 

Lucky Nudge 

The scatter symbol helps you to use the lucky nudge bonus feature. Landing two scatter symbols will trigger this bonus. Scatter symbols can nudge the reels up or down, which will then go on to help you trigger the free spins round. 

Our Verdict 

While there are some decent bonus features in Mine of Riches, the game is certainly lacking in some areas. The theme shows little effort, and more attention to detail could have been used in places. The Irish element doesn’t really match with the mining theme, so we would have liked it if these could have been linked a bit more. This is a game that we would say to give a try because of the RTP and bonus features.
