Neon Fever Slot Review

Neon Fever is one of the slots from the Synot stable of games. It has a 5x3 reel set which generates ten fixed bet ways which pay left to right. There is a wild symbol which appears on all but the first reel and substitutes for all other nine winning symbols. Four of these symbols, along with the wild, can split into two or three on a reel during any spin in the base game. There is also a gamble feature where players choose the colour of a playing card to try and double their win.

Bet Ways

The game has ten fixed bet ways which pay left to right from reel 1 when at least three matching symbols appear on consecutive reels. Symbols split into three on reel 1 on a win line will pay as three consecutive symbols.

Winning Symbols

There are four high-level symbols which, along with the wild, can split into two or three. These are the 7, bell, four-leaf clover and star. The 7 and the star are the top-value symbols, paying x80 the stake when 15 appear. The four-leaf clover and bell pay x60 for a similar number. Finally, five fruits can land up to 13 times and again pay out as multiples of the total bet.

At first sight Neon Fever looks like a retro fruit slot, albeit with five reels, but as soon as you spin the reels it is clear that there are some hidden features in special reels with split symbols. The design will appeal to fans of classic slots, but the split symbols will also attract other players.

Features

The game has a couple of good features but is let down by the absence of a scatter and bonus games.

Overall

The split symbols are the most interesting feature here, and they can lead to some decent wins, but the volatility of the game makes it a little predictable. There is little to attract high rollers other than the gamble option, although the bet spread is decent.
