Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack 

Dragon Gaming have done a great job with the theming of OngBak. The game is immersive, fun, and takes the player on a real journey with unexpected twists and turns along the way. 

The symbols are well designed, full of detail, and different enough that wins are simple to spot. Gloves, shorts, belts, and punchbags mix with the more traditional icons of tens, jacks, queens, kings, and aces to create an eye-catching display.

The reels are transparent to allow the game to merge with the backdrop and further set the scene of a martial arts session. The action takes place in an outdoor arena with a wooden covered roof surrounded by trees. The music is fast-paced, Oriental-sounding and builds the drama and tension well, although it can quickly become repetitive. Most players will probably be reaching for the mute button before long. 

OngBak RTP and Variance

The RTP on OngBak is currently unknown. In our opinion, it is a game with a low to medium volatility, with smaller wins occurring frequently but bonuses being quite difficult to trigger.

How to Play OngBak

1. Choose whether to enable the sound effects and music via the speaker button to the bottom of the reels.
2. Choose your stake. You can bet between 0.30 and 9000 per spin. 
3. Decide whether you want to auto play. Choose from 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 500, or infinite spins. Players can also choose to end auto play when the free games are triggered.
4. There is an unusual fast play option on OngBak. Players can choose a certain number of spins and be presented with the amount won without actually watching the spins. Options are available between 10 and 100 spins.

A Muay Thai fighter is the wild symbol and substitutes for all symbols apart from the punch-out symbol and the scatter symbol.

The punch-out symbol is a fighting pad, is available across all reels, and activates the punch-out bonus.

A fighting arena is the scatter symbol and activates the free spins bonus. There is also a monetary award for scatter symbols.

OngBak Bonus Features

OngBak Free Spins - 3 or more scatter symbols are required anywhere in view to trigger the free spins feature .Free spins can be retriggered, and the punch-out feature is also available.

Punch-Out Feature - Landing 6 or more punch-out symbols in a single spin activates the Punch-Out Feature. The original 6, or more, punch-out symbols remain locked in place and 5 respins are awarded. Additional punch-out symbols will also lock in place. For every punch-out symbol that lands, an additional spin is granted. The feature ends when no more spins remain or when all positions have been filled with a punch-out symbol, in which case the Grand Prize is awarded.

The grand prize is awarded if every position on the screen is occupied by a punch-out symbol.

Wild Hits Feature - The Wild Hits feature happens on every spin in the free spins round and occasionally in the base game. A Muay Thai fighter will appear, along with kick and punch selected symbols that turn them wild.

Gamble Feature - Players can elect to play with the gamble option switched on. This is accessible from the settings menu to the bottom of the reels. If the gamble feature is enabled, players have the opportunity to gamble any win and must predict whether the next card drawn will be black or red. Winnings can be gambled a maximum of 5 times and are worth X2.

Credit should be given to Dragon Gaming for this action-packed, cosmetically pleasing martial arts-themed game. Even the pickiest of bonus hunters will find something to like here, but due to the unknown RTP, we do recommend playing in demo mode.
