Introduction to Power of Poseidon

The symbols in the reels are also set in the water. The nine basic symbols are all some kind of sea creature, while the special features are something a little bit special. You’ve got a mermaid, a friendly-looking hammer head shark, a red octopus, a yellow and purple fish and a turquoise jelly fish.

The court cards are various types of a fish: a blue Ace, a red King, an orange Queen and a purple Jack. The Wild and Extra Wild are both depicted by Poseidon himself, while the Scatter symbol is an ancient Greek temple.

The graphics in this game are cartoon-like and fun, which belies the excitement that you will feel playing this game. Its many exciting features make it entertaining to play.

The soundtrack is aquatic. It is the sound of splashing and water rushing until you get a win, and then you get tinkling bells. When you get three Wilds, Poseidon himself calls out from the depths. All very in keeping with the game.

How to Play Power of Poseidon

The spin buttons are at the bottom right of the screen, with sound and the hamburger at the bottom left. When you click the hamburger, you will see buttons for pay table, info, history, full screen and back along the top of the screen.

Your wins are multiplied by your bet, and only the highest bet per play is paid. Wins pay from left to right, and malfunctions void your game.

The mermaid pays 30, 125 or 500

The blue shark pays 20, 100 or 250

The red octopus pays 20, 80 or 200

The purple and yellow fish pays 15, 75 or 175

The turquoise jellyfish pays 15, 60 or 150

The Ace pays 10, 30 or 125

The King pays 8, 25 or 120

The Queen pays 5, 20 or 100

The Jack pays 2, 15 or 80

There are two Wild symbols. The Wild is red and orange; the Extra Wild is blue. The Wild symbol will appear on the third, fourth and fifth reels and substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter.

The Extra Wild can appear during Poseidon’s Power Feature, but only on the 2-4 reels. It substitutes for all other symbols except for the Scatter symbol.

If you get three or more Scatter Symbols on any reel, you will trigger the bonus game feature with an Avalanche multiplier and an additional bonus. The Scatter symbols don’t play a part in cascades, but they do pay anywhere on the reels.

Three Scatter symbols will give 15 free spins and 5x your total bet.

Four Scatter symbols will give 20 free spins and 50x your total bet.

Five Scatter symbols will give 25 free spins and 250x your total bet.

Depending on the number of Scatters used to trigger the Bonus game feature, you may be awarded 15, 20 or 25 free spins. Your bonus for getting the free spins is the Avalanche Multiplier. This feature increases with every successive avalanche containing at least one bet line win. The maximum number of multipliers is ten. You can’t retrigger in the bonus game.

Poseidon’s Power Feature can occur in the regular spins game when the Extra Wild appears on reels 2, 3 or 4.

Our Verdict

We thoroughly enjoyed playing Power of Poseidon. We liked the fun graphics and watery soundtrack. The special features were exciting, although we found that we didn’t see them very often. Maybe we were just unlucky. The Wild and Extra Wild features gave it that extra spicy bit of fun and made us want to keep on trying to win just to see the those great features come up again.

We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t find what the volatility of the game was, but it didn’t stop our enjoyment of the game. The RTP is a little low, and it has medium variance. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the symbols in the game were clear. We didn’t like the fact that when we pressed the back button, it took us out of the instructions, but we also accept that that is personal preference. Some of you might prefer that, and it’s fairly minor in the scheme of things.

Overall, though, this was a good game that gave us hours of fun. If you enjoy games with a wide variety of features and many exciting ways to win, this is the game for you.
