Introduction

There are only 10 paylines in The Moneymania, with winning combinations formed when you match 3+ symbols starting on the leftmost reel. Benjamin Franklin features as the wild, and can substitute for all other symbols (excluding the scatter) to help you land bigger and better winnings.

The Moneymania includes a fun and rewarding bonus game triggered by landing the three sections of the $2 bill in the middle reels. We’ll look at the bonus game for The Moneymania in more detail later in this slot review.

If that’s not enough, there’s also two variations of a gamble feature available. The first features a classic ‘will the next card be black or red?’, or you can change to the Dealer version, where you try to choose a card of higher value than the dealer’s card to double your winnings.

Theme, Graphics & Soundtrack

The Moneymania is certainly not subtle when it comes to the theme, with the entire design based around dollar bills. The symbols include some of the faces featured on American bills and the entire game looks like the bank notes you’ll hopefully be able to take home with you. There’s not much of a soundtrack in The Moneymania, but each spin is accompanied with cashpoint-like sounds and wins (particularly those involving the presidents) trigger a fun melody, with the characters coming to life to whistle or hum along - which we loved!

The Moneymania RTP & Volatility

Belatra Games hasn’t announced the RTP of The Moneymania, although we have been able to establish that it’s a high volatility slot. If you’re not a fan of playing games where the RTP is unknown, we recommend you enjoy some Belatra Games free slots right here at Slots Temple to get a feel for the sort of returns you might be able to expect, before playing for real money.

How to Play The Moneymania

Whenever we start with a new slot, we always like to take some time to get to know the game. In The Moneymania, all the controls are found in a row beneath the reels as follows:

1. To start, click the menu icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Here, you can find the settings (cog icon), sounds (speaker), language (flag), AutoPlay settings, Gamble feature settings, and information.

2. Click the ‘I' icon within the above screen to find details including the paytable, paylines, and bonus features. Hit ‘return’ to go back to the game screen.

3. Once you’re happy with the rules and settings of The Moneymania, place your bet by clicking the arrows either side of the ‘bet’ option in the bottom-middle of the screen.

4. When you’ve set your wager, click on the large green Spin button in the bottom right-hand corner.

5. If you prefer to let the game play automatically, click the AutoStart button next to the Spin button to select how long you would like the automatic spins to go on for.

6. You can keep an eye on your balance and latest wins in the bar along the bottom of the screen.

Bet Sizes & Paytable

As a money-themed slot, we would expect a fairly wide range of betting options, and The Moneymania doesn’t disappoint, with the ability to set your wager from 10 up to 2,000 credits per spin.

Wins are made when 3+ matching symbols land on one of the 10 paylines starting on the leftmost reel, with the maximum rewards available when you land 5 symbols, regardless of whether you use a wild in that. The top paying prizes for each symbol (excluding any bonuses) are as follows:

Benjamin Franklin: 50,000

Andrew Jackson: 24,000

Abraham Lincoln: 12,000

The White House: 10,000

Coin: 8,000

Founding Fathers Meeting: 5,000

A: 5,000

K / Q: 3,000

Bonus Features

During your time playing The Moneymania, you’ll notice a $2 bill has been cut into three pieces, with sections appearing in the middle three reels. Land part of the bill in each of the middle reels to trigger the bonus game for the slot.

The bonus game features two parts: first, click on the flashing bank note to select a face value from $1 to $100. Second, click on the flashing numbers to establish how many notes you’ll win. Your winnings from the bonus game will be the value of the note multiplied by how many notes you selected.

Gamble Feature

The Moneymania also includes two different gamble features that give you the option to double-or-nothing your winnings in the base game. The first is a classic red-or-black risk game, where you need to guess whether the face-down card on your screen is red or black to double your winnings, or you can guess the suit of the card to quadruple your winnings! The second version pits you against a dealer, where you’re trying to find a card of the same or higher value than the dealer’s to win.

In both gamble games, you can win up to 5 times or win a maximum of 100,000 credits. Guess incorrectly at any point, however, and you’ll lose the lot!

Conclusion

Overall, we really enjoyed The Moneymania. We found it offered some really impressive top prizes and we enjoyed the variations of the gamble feature (we found the Dealer version the easiest to win, but the ability to 4x your win by guessing suits was very appealing). Although there wasn’t much of a soundtrack, we loved hitting multiple presidents just to watch them come to life to whistle or hum!
