Introduction

Wild Justice is one of 69 Platipus Gaming free slots created by this UK-based games developer, which was founded in 2014. The company is very clear about the importance of the Asian market, and much of their content is produced with this in mind, but Wild Justice is a departure that takes us back to the American West of the 19th century. It is reminiscent of Net Ent’s highly successful Dead or Alive slot, but Platipus have put their own stamp on the idea. If you feel like trying a nicely drawn slot with bonus round and all the other common features, then this game is certainly worth a look.

Wild Justice features a grid with five reels and three columns. It has 25 fixed pay lines. The minimum coins size is 0.01 and the maximum is 2.00. As there are 25 fixed lines it has a minimum bet level is 0.25 and a maximum of 50. There are 11 regular symbols: Money Bag, Revolver, Dynamite, Whisky, Horseshoe, Spurs and the top five playing cards. Wilds are the Sheriff and the Sheriff’s Badge, the Scatter is an Outlaw and there’s a Jackpot Wild Badge.

Theme, Graphics and Soundtrack

Platypus have come up with a good-looking, pleasantly noisy game with a nice backdrop of the desert railroad complete with animated steam, clouds and even the occasional vulture. The graphics are sharp and smart with decent animation, and the soundtrack provides plenty of whoops and hollers over a cleverly written homage to Ennio Morricone’s spaghetti western scores.

The game’s RTP is 95 per cent, which is a little way below the average of 96 per cent. The variance is high.

How to Play Wild Justice

1. Click the coins symbol to call up options for the bet settings and use the + and - to adjust it. The bet will automatically apply to all 25 lines.
2. Click the smaller Spin button, which is the autoplay control, to call up the autoplay settings. Select the desired number of autoplays from 25, 50, 75 or 100. This menu also allows you set a limit for a single win and loss.
3. Press autoplay again to exit the mode at any time.
4. Press the large Spin button or the space bar to start the reels spinning at the current bet level. 
5. Select the three-line menu symbol to access the reference page, which details the different game components and gives access to your game history.
6. Click the fast-forward symbol to enter turbo play mode.
7. All wins pay from left to right. If there are more than one winning combination, only the highest win on each line will pay out.
8. Sheriff Wild symbols will substitute for every symbol except Scatter symbols and can appear anywhere on the reels.

Free Spins

If you simultaneously hit three, four or five Scatter symbols, it will reward you with an extra game offering 15, 25 or 40 free spins respectively. If you hit three, four or five Scatter symbols during Free Spins, you will win 15, 25 or 40 extra free spins.

Wild Bounty Feature

During the base game if the Sheriff Wild symbol appears anywhere on the reels, the Wild Bounty feature will trigger. After a regular payout all line wins are multiplied by the number of Sheriff Wild, Sheriff’s Badge Wild and Jackpot Wild symbols which land and are added as a bonus payout. If the feature is triggered during free spins, then after the regular payout all line wins are multiplied by 3x for every Sheriff Wild, Sheriff’s Badge Wild and Jackpot Wild symbol which lands, and these are added as a bonus payout. The Wild Bounty Feature does not multiply wins from the Jackpot Wheel.

Jackpot Feature

If you simultaneously land a Jackpot Wild symbol and a Sheriff Wild symbol anywhere on the reels, you will trigger the Jackpot Wheel. You spin the wheel for one of five jackpots: mini, minor, major, maxi and grand.

Wild Justice Review: Our Verdict

This is a good little game, unpretentious and well focussed on delivering quick results. The bonus features are satisfying, and the overall performance of the slot is very strong. The only slight disappointment is the rather weak RTP level.
