Introduction

Worlds at War is an incredibly interesting and well-designed slot filled with intergalactic symbols and a clear theme throughout the game. It’s set over a 5x3-reel grid with 15 paylines and plenty of opportunities to hit some major rewards with top prizes up to 10,000x your stake and a Wild symbol that can double your rewards when used in a winning combination.

To win playing Worlds at War, all you need to do is land two or more of the higher-paying symbols or three or more of the lower symbols along a payline. Wins are awarded in adjacent reels starting on the leftmost reel. Commander Griffin acts as the Wild symbol in Worlds at War and can substitute for any symbols excluding the Scatter or Bonus symbols to help you land longer winning combinations and will even double your winnings, in addition to being the highest-valued symbol itself.

Behind the clear reels, you can see a beautifully designed galaxy landscape with incredible colours as the setting for this intergalactic battle. The symbols feature Commander Griffin, our main character, along with various aliens, spaceships, and planets to stay true to the game’s theme. The soundtrack is a subtly epic tune that plays on repeat while the reels are spinning and is accompanied by the sound of lasers and other space noises when winning combinations are formed.

How to Play Worlds at War

Whenever we look at playing a new online slot, we always like to take some time to get to know the game rules and learn where the controls are found. Saucify has kept the layout of Worlds at War as clean as possible to keep the focus on the gameplay.

1. The first thing we always like to do with a new slot is check the paytable, paylines, and bonus features. In Worlds at War. you can view this information by clicking the ‘I' icon in the top right corner of the screen.

With the maximum/minimum bet levels set and all 15 paylines active, you can play with a total wager of between 0.15 up to 18.75.

The best winning combinations are found when you land five matching symbols along an active payline. Commander Griffin is the Wild symbol in this game and can substitute for any other symbols (excluding the Scatter or Bonus symbols) to help you achieve longer winning combinations, as well as doubling your winnings. Bonus Game

The bonus game in Worlds at War is called the “Planetary Defence” game. It’s triggered when you land three or more Galaxy Gate symbols on a payline from left to right. To end the bonus game, click ‘Collect’ to bank your winnings.

Free Spins

Land three or more Scatter symbols in any position on the reels to trigger the free spins round with five, seven, or 10 free spins available for three, four or five Scatters respectively. The feature can be reactivated with more Scatter symbols and ends when no free spins remain.

Conclusion

Overall, we think Worlds at War is a beautifully designed space-themed slot with some impressive winning potential and awesomely created symbols. We did feel like the volume of aliens and spacecrafts made it a little difficult to identify winning combinations as some are fairly similar, although we can see effort went into making them identifiable against each other.

We were a little sad not to have triggered the Planetary Defence game in 200 spins, particularly as there doesn’t seem to be much information available on how this feature works, although we did manage to land a few free spins rounds to keep us happy.
