Bigote slot review
This fun but rather clunky game from R Franco has a retro look. Based loosely on the TV show Deal or No Deal, a cheesy host will guide you through this funny little slot.
This basic version of a video slot game features three reels and just one payline. The maximum total win is good, however, with a payout potential in the base game of 15,000 thanks to a max win multiplier of 1,000x.
This max win is available on a bet of just 15.00, with the lowest possible bet standing at 0.20. Players can also play the eight-line version, which also has a max win of 15,000. Bonus features of this game include a wild symbol, a bonus box select game, and a scatter symbol sombrero.

Theme, graphics & soundtrack of Bigote slots
The game theme of the Bigote slot
The game is essentially based on a Mexican version of Deal or No Deal. The TV host stands to the right of the reels in the base game and also appears in the bonus game. In the eight-reel version of the game, he becomes a bonus symbol.
The graphics of the Bigote slot
In the base game, the winning symbols include diamonds, rubies and emeralds alongside bells, lemons, oranges, grapes and plums. The scatter symbol is a sombrero and the wild is a moustache.
In the eight-reel game, the winning symbols include a lucky seven and three bonus symbols. Beyond the reels in both versions is the set of a TV game show. The graphics are certainly not what we would call up-to-date, but they are fun, bright and simple. In the base game, the symbols spin on the three reels in the middle of the screen; in the bonus box game, a table with three boxes appears in its place.
The sounds of Bigote slot
Think lounge music at its worst: the soundtrack is every bit the dated Mexican TV show. You can either get on board and ride the cheese or click the settings button to the lower left to turn the music off.

Bigote RTP & volatility
RTP
This slots game has a variable RTP that increases with a higher bet. It even ranges within the bet, depending on whether you play the one-reel or eight-reel version of the game. The RTP of the max bet (15.00) is either 91.47 per cent or 95.57 per cent.
Volatility
Unfortunately, we do not have any information as to the variance (volatility) of this game.
How to play Bigote
- Make a bet by clicking the bet button below the reels (the first grey oval button).
- Move to the eight-reel game by clicking the third grey oval button.
- When you are ready to play either game, hit the spin button.
- Remember that timeout and self-exclusion functions are available to encourage responsible gambling.
How to win at Bigote
Like most slots, wins occur when players fill a payline with matching symbols. In the simple one-reel base game, players need to land three matching symbols on the single payline; in the eight-reel version of the game, they need to land three matching symbols on any of the eight lines.
The scatter symbol awards a payout for landing anywhere on the screen; therefore, in the base game, it does not need to land on the payline. The current win multiplier amounts can be seen by referring to the paytable to the left of the reels. To achieve the max win, players need to make the maximum bet in either the one-reel or eight-reel game.
The top-paying symbols are:
- 3 x diamonds = 1,000x
- 3 x seven of the same colour = 1,000x
Bigote bonuses
Wild
The wild symbol appears in the one-reel game only. This symbol will substitute for the standard symbols (not the bonus) to help form a winning combination.
Bonus box game
Land three bonus symbols to start the bonus box game. Clicking the play button will cause the light to stop on one box and reveal the value. The player then chooses to accept this cash price or decline it in the hope of revealing something higher in the second or third box. Players who decline the first and second boxes will be awarded whatever is in the third box.
Bigote review: our verdict
Gameplay & format
The gameplay in the Bigote video slot is quite interesting, as players can choose between a one-reel and an eight-reel game. In both versions of the game, they can choose to make a 0.20, 1.00, 10.00 or 20.00 bet.
Look & feel
The look and feel of the game are not its strong points. The graphics and sounds are a bit cheesy, but then the game is light-hearted and doesn’t take itself seriously.
Bigote Bonus features
The bonus feature in the one-reel game is the best part of this game. The pick box game allows you to decline a box to try to get something higher, which is a risky game perfect for high rollers. Unfortunately, there is no free spins bonus in this slots game.

FAQs
Can Bigote be played in demo play?
Yes, Slots Temple offers this R. Franco free slot in demo play; what’s more, you will find other demo play games from the same studio. You can also play famous titles such as the Rainbow Riches slot from Barcrest, which is as popular at land-based casinos as at online casinos.
What is the format of Bigote?
This game has two formats. In one version, there are three reels and just one payline; in the other version, there are three reels and eight paylines. Both game formats have a bet range of 0.20 to 15.00; however, the RTP varies dramatically between the bets and formats.
What is the game theme of Bigote?
The game has a TV show theme and is loosely based on the Deal or No Deal format. It also has a loose Mexican theme, which is evident through the mariachi player and the sombrero symbols. The game has a soundtrack that does support the theme but is unlikely to be enjoyed by all players.
