How to Play

In total, there are five reels for you to use in Mr Miner and each one is three symbols high. There are also 20 paylines that you can bet on. Wins in the base game come when you land three of more of the same symbols across a payline starting from the left side. There are also wild symbols and a firefly bonus round that we’ll explore in more detail later.

You are free to use the autoplay mode whenever you want the reels to spin on their own up to 100 times. There isn’t a fast spin option with Mr Miner, so you have to wait for the symbols to stop turning before you collect your prize money.

Bonus and Special Features

The first special feature you will notice in Mr Miner is the presence of wild symbols. These can substitute for any other icon in the game, allowing you to create more winning combinations by filling in gaps and creating matching lines.

Any time you manage to land a win in Mr Miner, the symbols that created that combination will explode and be replaced by new icons that fall from above and move into the spaces. This is what’s known as collapsing reels, and it can lead you to make more winning lines. The symbols will continue to explode until there are no winning combinations left to make. Every time the reels collapse, a multiplier will be applied to your total prize money. It starts out by doubling your prize money, then tripling it, and so on. There’s no limit to how many times the amount can be multiplied.

Every so often, a mole miner will appear on the screen and dig his way across a row of symbols, which causes them to collapse even further. It won’t give you new winning lines right away, but it’s a free bonus that is definitely entertaining to watch.

Another special bonus symbol you will want to look out for in the game is the wooden crate stuffed full of dynamite. When you land this crate on the first, third and fifth reels, a side game will be triggered. It’s a bonus round that always pays out and has the potential to give you many different rewards as you pick from the fireflies that begin buzzing around the mine.

Each firefly that is released from these crates as part of the free game bonus round gives you a different prize amount or moves you on to a different level of the mine where more fireflies can be seen. Keep picking flies that catch your eye until you run out of fireflies, you find the stop sign or you come across the death symbol. Any one of these three things will end the bonus round.
