How to play Cyborg City

How to win at Cyborg City

As with most slots, your key to winning is matching three, four or five symbols on one of the 243 paylines. The winning symbols with the highest win multiplier are the cyborg characters. In the base game, look out for the bonus scatter symbol that collects in a meter along the bottom.

Wilds

Wilds remain in play at all times, substituting for all other symbols apart from the scatter. 

Bonus collection

Every time a bonus symbol lands, it will be collected in the bonus meter below the reels. When the meter reaches 25, you have reached the first level and 12 wilds will be added to the reels. Each new level requires 25 more bonus symbols:

• Level 1 = 12 wilds
• Level 2 = 30 wilds
• Level 3 = 50 wilds
• Level 4 = 2x multiplier
• Level 5 = cash prize (between 20x and 1,000x)

The meter will reset to level 0 when the cash prize is won. Note that if you adjust your bet at any time, the meter will reset. Think about this before you make a high wager.

Gamble

All base game payline wins can be doubled in the gamble feature. After the win, simply click the dice button to the right of the reels to enter the gamble bonus. Instead of a red/black card pick, you choose between two cyborgs, one of which will appear on the central card. Correct guesses will double wins and allow you to gamble again (up to five times for the max payout potential); an incorrect guess will result in you losing the winnings you staked.

Gameplay

Like all Boldplay slots, the gameplay is easy: choose a total bet and away you go. The gamble feature is not too obvious - the dice doesn’t flash as in other slots - so you need to remember that the option is there when you win. The bonus meter looks after itself, but remember that it reverts to zero if you change your bet amount.

Theme and style

The game’s cyborg theme is excellent and will appeal to fans of science fiction, in particular speculative fiction set in future worlds and alternate realities. The theme is thoughtfully presented with sci-fi imagery, which includes a number of finer details that bring the game to life. The game’s theme and design are certainly amongst its strongest points.

Sadly missing a free spins bonus, the main highlight is the bonus meter. Symbol collection features such as this appeal to players who make small bets over a longer time rather than players who like to dip into a game for a few spins. Although there are no free spins, the addition of the gamble feature adds a different visual and bonus element to the game.
